"He he he he" a beautiful brown haired girl giggled hysterically as she frantically ran about the woods. I found myself following her, attracted to her movements as she swang around the body of the tree trunks, giggling while she did so. Light shimmered down through the gaps in the tree's leaves and branches, attached itself to her gorgeous tan skin and reflected off her brown eyes.
"Come on." She said lurying me closer to her, making me follow her. And I did as she said, without hesitation her command was followed.
She walked through the beautifully painted green scenery, brushing her hands through the leaves of a nearby bush and picking a bright pink rose off of it. The rose was a marvelous color, one that the eye cannot help but stare at. Her beauty however was incomparable to that of the roses, nothing was comparable to her beauty.
She turned toward me and held the rose up in her hand "Look"
I then approached her slowly at first expecting her to run away, but then at a better pace until I was a mere foot away from her. I reached out, grabbed the rose from her dantie hand and placed it in her hair gently caressing her face afterwards.
She blushes and leans in to kiss me, but stops right before our lips meet as if to tease me. She then pulls back giggles again, because she was teasing me, walks over to the bush she plucked the beautifully pink rose from and picks off another. But this time she gasps, lifts up her dainty finger up to show me. Blood trickles down her finger and a single drop falls to the ground. I look her in the eyes and panic rushes through her face.
"Whats wrong you just pricked your finger?" I questioned her response which seem to be as if the world was ending.
Then the beautifully painted green scenery erupted into flames, tearing throught the forest. The girl ran, ran fast into the firery woods. I dashed after her, hurdling over falling objects that crossed my path. I inched closer and closer to the girl trying to catch her as the forest burnt around me. Before I knew it I was within feet of the girl, so I reached out my arm and went forward to grab her.
Just as my hand grabbed her arm she vanished, vaporized into thin air leaving nothing but dust and ashes swarming through the air. I fell from the lack of a steading object, collapsing into the ground. I thought it would be a soft grass that would cushion my fall, but instead I landed on a hard rock substance.
My body ached and I pushed my self upward so I was standing. I looked around and found myself not in the luscious green forest ,that had once been blooming with liveliness and beauty, but in the middle of a baren, sand covered desert. The world was dead there was nothing, cracked dry stone layed on the baren desert. With the burning sun baring down on my back, I let out a loud cry and it all went black.........
I jolted awake, breathing heavily, my heart racing fast from the adranelin fueled dream I just awoke from. Who was that girl I was chasing? My mind wanted to shut down again wanted to see more of the dream but it couldnt. I was distracted by the fact u had know idea where I was. My eyes glanced around, I was laying on my right arm in the middle of a concrete room. My arm had fallen asleep, and now had the annoying numb feeling throughout it.
My head ached and my muscles were soar, probably the result of laying on this stiff floor. The only comfort I had at all was that of the all white clothing I was dressed in.
I convinced my body to roll onto my back to get a better look of where I was. I winced as I flopped onto my back while my muscles cramped up throughout my body. My head pounded and throbbed hurting worse than it did before.
All of a sudden my vision started blurrying and I felt extremely light headed. I couldn't move, I couldn't talk to yell help. I just sat there in complete helplessness and let the pain corrupt my body. It started in my legs and worked its way up to my sides. Then it crawled up to my neck and burned my shoulders. After that it lead to my head which gave me a horrific migrane that made my head throb like the beat of a drum. I started to scream or at least I thought I couldn't here anything to confirm I was. And then it stopped, my body loss tension, the headache went away, the throbbing ceased, and my vision became clear.
The room I lay in was quiet, so quiet that an annoying ringing came to my ears. I sat up steading myself to make sure I didn't fall over. I sat there and looked around the cement room. Everything was cement the walls, the floors, I looked up and squinted at the ceiling which had two lights that were overly bright and embedded in the ceiling. Where was I, I thought, I have never been here.
Then a stage of panic occurred. I didn't know where I was, I didn't know who I was, I couldnt remember anything. My brain was blank nothing, an empty black hole of nothingness that enveloped the thoughts of my mind. My heart rate started to rise, my breathing increased, sweat dripped down my face. What was happening?
I fell to my knees, I felt week and my emotions were taking over. A paice of me was missing, no all of me was missing. I screamed and the echoeing peirced my ears, my throat burned. Who am I, where am I, nothing made sense nothing was coming together. I was lost, lost in an insolvable maze that just got more frustrating the deeper you went in. My soul was gone my life was gone, tears started rolling out of my eyes. My breathing once again increased, my heart racing.
"Please don't panic." A voice said, a womenly voice, it startled me. I stopped stood up quickly and looked around the room as if I was going to see someone. But no one was there, not a single person besides me in the room.
"Hello?" I asked waiting for a response.
"Subject 5 is awake and is ready for Abstraction." The voice echoed through what sounded like a micro phone.
"Abstraction, what is that?" I asked the robotic lady voice that was echoeing through this prison like cement cell. "What is subject 5, what is happening?!" This time I shouted to the voice, giving strength to my command.
"Let the Abstraction tests begin."
