I'm in biology but I have no idea what the teacher is talking about all I can think about is what happened yesterday , I've lost myself in thoughts about what's happening with Jeff.
I think I heard the bell , I get up and walk to my locker . I see Jeff in his grey hoodie walking in the distance . I run to see him and ask him what was happening . "Jeff , what is happening ?" I ask . "Oh meg..we can't talk here , let's meet at the park at 5:00 okay?", Said Jeff "okay , but...." ,Jeff ran away before I could finish my sentence.
I enter the girls loo and I hear someone crying . I think it's Wendy . Wendy comes out from one of the stalls with smuged mascara . Now I can't resist it, I have to make her feel better so I put my arm on her shoulder "are you alright?", I ask "thanks" she says "why?" , I ask "you care to ask....Thank you so much" she says. I can just see it in her eyes , she's longing to hear kind words from someone. "You must be Meg " , said Wendy " you know me??" I ask.
"Yeah , Emily's best friend Kate , she secretly hates Emily and kate's been talking to me about how Emily hates ....um....you", said Wendy . In my opinion all of Emily's best friends A.K.A wannabees actually hate her and only want to hang out with her because she's popular. "It's okay , Emily is not my very favourite person either we've been hating each other since 6th grade" I said
Did Wendy say kate hated Emily? So now kate hates Emily and she is actually giving out Emily's secrets. Wendy washes her face and we walk out of the girl's loo . "So where do you sit during lunch? " I ask "I try not to be spotted by Emily and her crew so I sometimes have lunch in the janitor's store room or in the girl's loo" she said shyly " What?? You should sit in table 6 with me " I say without a second thought.
Did I just invite her to eat in table 6? Im barely allowed to sit there. " have to get to class ...bye" I say and wave to Wendy and she waves back. What have I done ? I just made friends with Wendy .
After school.
I quitely walk home , all these confusing set of incidents are killing me . I see my mum cooking something in the kitchen singing one of her old lady songs. I have to get some distraction so I planned to watch something on TV but I can't get mind out of this thing it's already 4:30 so I pull on my jeans and my top and go to the park.
I see a boy wearing a grey hoodie sitting in the park bench in the distance. I run to the bench , " hi.." said Jeff and I sat next to him in the bench . "So...what's the matter ? " I ask "It's Holten, Mike and Sam ...they bully me and connor everyday even after school ...." said Jeff " wait , what does this have to do with me? " I asked. " let me finish .....Holten likes Emily so he tried make connor ask Emily for him and Emily sometimes hangs out with them and she talks about you." Jeff says in a really scary and serious way.
"Wait ... you are being bullied by the most spoiled kids in middle school and ....well I don't want to get involved", I say . You might think I'm selfish but NO I'm not gonna be messing around with those kids."huh? You are already involved" he says, its like Emily would do anything to ruin my life . Emily and Holten could be called the couple of darkness." They all hate you" he says " they actually consider me a threat but....." I say. "Be strong! " Jeff says . I feel so horrible .
