My Best Friend's Boyfriend!

Chapter:8

Aaron and I got out of his car. I closed the door behind me. We were a little far away from our town. I looked around and saw dirt all over the place. There was some nice huge trees that I wanted to climb up. One of the trees had a wheel swing. This place seems kind of familiar.

"Do you like it?" Aaron said interrupting my thoughts.

"Yeah,although it seems kind of familiar."

"Well you came here once with your dad."

"I did?"

"Yeah see that old coffee shop over there?"Aaron said pointed at the coffee shop I didn't seem to notice.

I looked at it, it was really nice. It looked like a cozy cabin.

I nodded my head in response,"Well that coffee shop belongs to my parent's."

"It does?"

"Yeah, one time you and your dad came.It was raining it seemed like you guys had been crying..."

Aaron said trailing off.That's when I remembered. It was last year when I came to this old store. It was late in the afternoon and me and my dad had just found out my mom had cancer in her heart. I remember crying all night that day. My mom had been my best friend for years and I just couldn't handle the fact I might loose her. She was just to important to me.

When my dad and I learned she had cancer, my mom asked my dad if she can take me somewhere so I can get distracted. We were heading back to our house when I saw a small looking cabin. I told my dad to stop so we can get coffee. He did what I said but right when we got out, rain started pouring. I don't know what happen at the moment but I started to cry. Maybe cause I thought no one will notice since it was raining but Aaron did.

"Cathy you okay?"Aaron said, again breaking my thoughts.

"Huh?" I said trying to gain my attention to him.

"Well you're crying..."

I lifted my hand to my cheek and felt the salty water on my cheek.

"Ooh I am so sorry. It's just that I now remember why I came here that day."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

I smiled and took a hold of his had,"No it's okay everything is better now,let's just make this day about us okay?"

"Okay then beautiful." Aaron said as he leaned in to kiss me on the nose.

We walked in the coffee shop hand in hand. Aaron opened the door for me like a gentlemen.I entered the shop. The nice sent of coffee hit my nose. I looked around and it was empty. In the middle of the room was a table set for two. It had a white candle in the middle. I looked over at Aaron and he had a nice grin on his face.Then out of nowhere I see a guy coming toward us wearing a waiter suit.

"Hello I am Max. I will be your waiter tonight."

"Hi,I'm Cathy."

"Ooh it feels like I know you already because Aaron here never stops talking about you."

"Huh?"I asked confused we only have been dating for a few days now. Why was he saying this. I looked over to Aaron with a confused expression on my face. Aaron went into a deep shade red. I'm guessing Max is embarrassing him. But I don't mind, I think it's actually very cute.

"Ooh sorry but my little brother has been having a huge crush on you for a long time now."

"Pardon me?"

"Ooh sorry Aaron didn't tell you?"

"I was going to tell her tonight but I guess not."Aaron said a little annoyed. It was really cute how he was getting mad.

"Wait you mean to say Aaron liked me before?" I said letting out a little chuckle.

"Yes," Max laugh and crossed his arms over his chest,"Ironic huh?"

"No I think it's cute." I said taking a hold of Aaron's hand and giving it a small squeeze.

Aaron gave me a small smile and with that our date proceeded.

"Thanks for tonight it was great" I said once we got to the front of my house.

"Well I'm glad you had a great time."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Umm..Sure go for it." Aaron replied as he shoved his hands inside he jean pockets.

"Why didn't you tell me you liked me before?"I asked shyly.

Aaron suddenly turned his face avoiding my eyes,"Well I umm.."He scratched the back of his head looking really nervous,"I never thought an amazing girl like you will like me..."He finally said trailing off.

What he has to be kidding right?

"What?Why would you think that?"

"I dunno? I was just nervous."

"Mmm..What made you change your mind?"

"Well that day at the party when Justin said you were beautiful I couldn't help it anymore I had to make you mine some way.Then when I asked you out and you said yes, I was happy.I felt like everything was perfect now."

I now had tears in my eyes. Wow I can't believe Aaron just said that. It felt like a dream come true. This is something I've waited to hear for a long time.

"Can I ask you something?"Aaron said leaning in forward cupping my cheeks with both of his hands.I was speechless to what I just heard and nodded my head.

"Can we have our second kiss?"

Without saying anything else. He closed the gap between us. I snaked my hands around he neck pulling him closer to me. Our lips sync with each other. It was perfect, I can feel him smiled in between the kiss. What more did I need? I was now happy.

He pulled away from the kiss with the biggest smile ever. Wow I just kissed Aaron! Can you believe that?!

"Goodnight beautiful." And with that he left.
