It had been odd. Oliver didn't disappear without a word unless he had been upset with someone but nothing insulting had happened nor had anyone he knew hurt him in the physical sense or the psychological sense. It had gotten Nevali worried, usually it wouldn't have but the thing was Oliver had been on his way to meet her. He had said it had been of importance. He wouldn't have just disappeared without telling her his news first. Jack had been worried too.
It was why he and Nevali hadn't argued over Oliver's safety or his whereabouts. It had been the first time the pair had worked together to find him or at least help. Jack had sent Nevali to see Ira immediately, he had asked her to use her vortex manipulator to find him. It wasn't an ordinary request. Usually she'd take off without permission and go back to her home to see her mother but this time it was different. Nevali had inhaled deeply before she pressed the right co-ordinates into her vortex manipulator.
It took one moment for her to leave the safety of the hub and for her to appear in the middle of Ira's living room. She'd been there before with Oliver so Ira hadn't been surprised by her arrival, although he had been levitating near the ceiling and his mind had been distant so he may not have noticed her presence yet. "Ira", Nevali greeted her tone serious. Ira's immediate response had been to fall to the floor. Nevali however hadn't budged an inch from where she was standing unlike the first time they had met.
Ira knew as he was getting to his feet that this had to be serious. "What is it?", Ira questioned. He could feel the concern that was coming from Nevali and how heavy it seemed to be. "Oliver's still not back", Nevali commented. This had caused a frown to come across Ira's face rather soon. "That is odd", Ira stated. "I'll see what I can do", he added. He had cupped his hands over each other for a short moment, pulling them back before he released his hands from each other.
A large orb centred itself in the middle of the room. "You should be dead by now" a distorted voice stated, a rather pained yell come from another. Nevali knew the yell, she wished she didn't. She wished more than anything that she didn't know the sound of her brother in pain. But the truth was that she did and by the look of seriousness upon Ira's face he did too. "Won't that satisfy you?", the distorted voice questioned. "The only thing that'll satisfy me is your death", a weak voice answered.
It was Oliver, there was no doubt about it. "Wrong answer", the stranger stated causing an electrical current to run through Oliver quite soon. Ira couldn't see where he was hanging or who the stranger was but he knew the place. It was an old building U.N.I.T had used when he had first encountered them with Oliver. That place had mostly pits inside there now. It was due to Oliver and himself and how they'd stopped the Cybermen from completely overrunning U.N.I.T - it had been the idea of Martha's.
Alas it had worked but still the damage had been quite extensive. Not that Oliver was sorry for it. Rather soon and suddenly an electric shot had hit Ira's hand causing the orb to vanish. It was odd. More so because of how powerful he was. "We have to get him back. This explains where he's been but why and how are uncertain", Ira commented, extending his arm rather soon. Nevali had without question taken the arm of Ira, he had felt her anxiety over the situation although he had not thought her the type to have such a thing.
It took a short moment for Ira and Nevali to both be engulfed by orbs. It was a technique known as orbing. More known by Ira and his family than anything else. Ira had seen his surroundings change quite soon and he had taken notice of his surroundings although what he was seeing was questionable. Nevali had taken her hand away from Ira immediately, her eyes having fallen who she believed to be her brother but something didn't add up.
Ira had thought as much it was why he had stopped Nevali from going towards him. "What the hell are you doing? That's my brother", Nevali questioned, her tone sounding more furious than confused although she was indeed most confused. "I don't believe it, even Oliver couldn't heal that quickly", Ira stated. It was true that the male before them did seem to be Oliver but he looked too much like nothing had happened to him.
Ira couldn't see the pain he'd just gone through and he knew Oliver, he'd have felt it even if he said he was fine. Oliver would've been angry too. But this person before them was too calm, sure he had Oliver's demeanour but Ira didn't believe for one second that it was his friend. "But I am. I can prove it", the male replied, turning and exiting the dark room that he had been in although it seemed the room they had entered next was only darker.
Ira had followed although he had been cautious about doing so. Nevali had found it odd too. Upon entering the room however they had found themselves being bound by objects that were very vine-like and it wasn't stopping there, it was suffocating them. Ira's Magic being made useless and both being immobilised instantly. They could still speak but that was the extent of it. "You bastard", Nevali commented. The male had laughed instantly.
"Soon you'll be joining him. I must admit that he fought valiantly. But what of you? Blindly following and never questioning", He questioned, more for Nevali than for Ira. "I'll have your power too soon enough", he added. He was standing at the edge of a pit which had been where Oliver had been thrown, discarded like he was a piece of junk. Nevali could see him, Ira's empathy was still in effect and he could feel that Oliver was there.
He could feel his pain and more importantly his anger. Ira wondered why Oliver had been tossed there so carelessly until he realised that the male must've killed him. He must've thought the male was still dead. Ira knew they had to distract him. "You're just gonna take us for yourself? Pathetic", Ira commented. Nevali had wondered for a second what he was up to until she had seen her brother, there in that pit, arise slowly with what did appear to be a pipe.
"Oh yeah. You're a bigger fool than most. You think you're the first to try? Take your goal and shove it", Nevali replied. The stranger had shifted towards Ira slowly, however he had only taken two steps before he felt the feeling of a pipe hit him, knocking him down quite soon. It had been hard enough to shock him and loosen the grip on Ira and Nevali. "Let the three of them go", Oliver stated, shoving the pipe roughly up against the male's chest. "Did he say three?", Nevali questioned.
Ira nodded his head. "Give me her", Oliver warned pressing the pipe down into the male's chest. "Fine", The stranger replied, just like that a ray of light escaped from him however he had soon disappeared leaving Emily, Oliver's youngest sister, beside him. "Dammit!", Oliver yelled, seeming to collapse rather soon although Emily had lifted him up soon enough. "I'll get them for this", Emily promised. She was no child and Oliver knew this.
Ira had felt it odd that once the male had vanished so had anything that had held them back. "Who was that?" Ira question. "Elias", Oliver replied. "Take him home I have to check something", Ira stated and just like that he was gone from sight. Emily and Nevali had used a teleporter to get to Torchwood. Oliver had passed out by that point, both of them had placed him onto the couch as soon as possible. "So who the hell is Elias?", Nevali questioned.
"The worst creature you could possibly imagine", Jack had answered. It was then that Nevali had realised, the male knew that they would bring Oliver back there which could mean trouble. but for now they needed answers. "Tell us", Emily replied immediately. If Jack knew as much as he was letting on this could be very bad.
