The picture is Everlasting
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This is how it goes, there are 3 levels of us. There is the highest which have the highest stamina and health, they are known as the Advanced group but there's only 3 of us, Me, Triforce, and Widad. Then there's the Scholastic group which is the second highest which also only holds 3, there's Breeze, Hillside, and Maple. Each of their names holds the key of where they dwell. Then there's the Varsity which currently only holds 2, Peach and Carnival.
Luke's POV
"Oh man, I can't believe we found this on the side of the road, it is in pretty good condition too." I said as we walked into the room of our apartment. Brendon, my roommate, nodded smiling. "Wipe it off and we can start playing." He said throwing his jacket off to the side. I tore off a bit of paper towel and wiped the cover off revealing 3 people and the name of the game, New Beginnings. There was 2 girls and 1 boy, one of the girls was a bit in front of the other two and there were names under each. The very front girl was Everlasting, the other girl was Triforce and the dude was Widad. Everlasting was pretty attractive too, Triforce looked a little too attractive, and Widad looked like a nerd. "Hey dude look at this." I yelled and motioned for Brendon to come over. He pointed to Everlasting and said, "I'd tap that." I smiled, "she is very attractive." I said.
"Do you think Everlasting is her actual name or do you think it's just a nickname?" He asked. I shrugged and said sarcastically, "I don't know if I ever meet her, I'll ask for you." He smiled and said, "awesome. Now put it in so we can play." I took out the cd and placed it carefully in the awaiting game tray. Brendon and I both took our seats in 2 bean bag chairs. The screen went black for a few seconds before Everlasting popped up on the screen. She had her head down and spoke in a very eerie and serious voice. The only sound that filled the room was her voice which acted like it almost echoed. "Hello young mortal, you may address me as Everlasting." Something about her voice just drew you in. The background behind her was black and a dim light reflected on her skin and almost highlighted her auburn hair. "I am apart of the advanced league of characters. I am the highest rank, in this game you will try to make it through the world surviving until you create a society good enough not only to survive in but to thrive wonderfully, although you will start with nothing and will have to dodge danger and obstacles that are thrown at you at the most inconvenient times." She looked up, the light dimming down so only her eyes and mouth was shown before she whispered completely serious, so much that it chilled you to the bone. "Think you're up for the challenge mortal?" As soon as that happened the screen faded to black and the lights in the room turned off. "Thought it's better in the dark." Brendon said sitting back in his seat, I hadn't even realized he got up. Light suddenly filled the room as lightning struck and thunder boomed right after. I turned my attention back to the game and a sweet song filled the room. It sounded almost like a battle cry.
Time and place
Don't be a disgrace
Hoist the flag
Show them we're here
Show them the colors
Make them fear
What you've done
You'll wish you never begun
I heard snoring beside me as Brendon fell asleep, lightning continued to flash as thunder roared. I stared at the tv again as a green meadow showed up and Everlasting said, "Welcome to the town of New Beginnings."
Thunder boomed and lightning flashed as the TV went haywire, sparks flew up the wire to the controller. Before I had the chance to react it hit my hand and burned. My hand started twitching violently and so did my body. Sparks flew everywhere and my vision faded in and out, I could feel my body temperature fly up words and my whole body burned like it was just set on fire. My body stopped its violent shakes as my vision slowly faded to black.
Everlasting's POV
"Your breaking up with me?" I asked, tears falling from my eyes and my chest aching. Widad nodded, solemnly. "You deserve someone better, I don't want to hurt you." He said his voice completely calm. Triforce smirked behind him, watching the whole thing with pleasure. I so wanted to slap that smug look right off her face. "I hope we can still be friends." He said turning away. More tears fell from my eyes as I slammed my fist down on the table beside me, breaking it in two. I stormed off, my thoughts swarming me. A sob escaped my lips and my body shook violently with pain. I ran as fast as my legs could take me, and finally found myself in the secluded part of the world. My legs collapsed underneath me, and my body continued to shake. Everything had been going so well, I thought that he could be the one. And he breaks my heart. I loved him, he said he loved me, and now I feel so strung along. He told me he loved me right before he broke up with me, I don't know how many lies he fed me. How long he felt this way and he was just politely putting up with me. I needed to hold something, I grabbed onto whatever was beside me which was a small lamb. It baad and I clung onto it for dear life, my tears staining its wool. This can't be happening, it has to be a dream. This could all be a nightmare, it could just be what he did before and pretend he was breaking up with me as a test. I loved him, and now my heart is aching. My heart feels like it was shattered into millions of pieces and there is no way to pick them all up. God I feel so stupid, another sob escaped my throat, and my body shook harder. The lamb wiggled its way out of my grip and I clutched where my heart is. It hurt, like physically hurt. Tears stopped flowing and were replaced with coldness and violent shakes. I pulled at my hair, and scratched at my arms wishing I could just flip my emotions off. Wishing I didn't feel this way about him, wishing I had someone to turn to. I fell into a light sleep, enough so I was asleep but I was still thinking. A small part of me wished I wouldn't wake up the next morning or wishing someone would kill me in my sleep and I wouldn't respawn, anything to make this pain disappear. I shook horribly in my sleep, and sobs escaped every now and then, as tears fell subconsciously. I felt like I had no one, he left so who would go for me, who cares for me? I woke up and crawled over to a tree, slumping against it. Days crawled by and I didn't eat or sleep, my eyes grew bags underneath. My health was pretty low because of the hunger, but I couldn't think of food, or anything besides him, hurt too much. I had scratches up my arms from my nails, and my head hurt from me pulling at my hair. I fell my health drop lower, my face sunken in. More days past by and my health dropped down to zero. I felt pixels surround me as the usual routine of respawning happened. I respawned a few feet from the stump, getting up slowly. My bones ached from not moving for about a week. I cracked my neck and walked over to a small pond, slipping out of my uniform and wading in the water. I washed off all the grime that has built up, it soothes me with the coolness of the water. I dipped underneath the water, dampening my auburn hair. I grabbed my clothes from where I put them beside the pond and began slowly washing them and hanging them on a nearby tree to dry. While I was waiting for both myself and my clothes to dry, my mind started wondering. I wished there was a distraction, to get my mind off of everything that had happened.
