Something Worth Fighting For

"Halo I said no". This girl never gives up.

"But, Wain". Her lip quivered slightly.

"No Halo, it is raining outside". I hate saying no to her.

"Pawk". She crossed her chubby arms over her chest and pouted.

"No , no park today". I stomped my foot down laying down the law. With that she burst out crying. Ughhh not this again.

I went over to her and slung her up on my hip as she continued her sobbing. She didn't sleep well so she is grumpy to the extreme. I sat her down in one of the many rooms in the ware house and covered her body with a blanket. The ware house is always extremely hot or cold. I went to leave her to cry herself to sleep.

Moments like this are when i wish mom was here really bad. Moments that make me feel like a horrible mother to halo.

After a hour and half of her screaming and crying the room halo is in went quiet. I have a head ache from hell to. That girl has a set of lungs on her. But now that she's asleep i can finally rest my eyes for awhile. I couldn't sleep last night knowing i failed my job last night and met a sexy vamp.

I know me and Halo will have to leave this place soon, because of all the vamps i have killed here. But mostly because the guy, i mean vampire knows what i look like now.

One more week and we are out of this shit hole. If i finish my job here i will have enough money to rent a apartment for me and Hay.

Outside the rain still poured down on earth like god was bringing another flood. I sit on the window seal tears leaking down my face. Tonight I'm taking Halo to a babysitter I paid for with the rest of our money. I put a note in the way bottom of Halos baby bag reading

Dear, To whom it may concern,

Halo and me are orphans and have not been in a secure house for over two years. If you end up reading this note it means I'm gone, Halo Marie Wells is her name and she is currently 3. I have a box set up at a bank where her birth certificate, 300$, medical records and a number please call it and give my sister to this man. He wont know her but he is family. I beg of this as my dyeing wish.

The man is my older brother. Easton Wells, He doesn't know he has sisters tho, I have never told anyone about him because i don't want the vamps to use it against me. He is my dads son so he is my half brother but it is blood so hopefully he will take her if i don't survive tonights mission. But lets hope i come back and pick Halo up and get out of here.

But just the thought of loosing her makes the tears roll down my face. Rain just get up and spend what might be your last few hours with her. I tell myself over and over again. So thats what i do i hop up and go to my sisters room i open the door and what i see surprises me.

Standing in the room picking up my sister a vampire. He looks my way and hisses. I slowly bring my hand to my back pulling out the long silver dagger stowed away in the waist of my pants.

"Put her down your fights with me." I start rolling onto the pads of my feet waiting to strike. He dropped Halo, and when i say dropped I mean like a doll, right onto the make shift bed. She instantly started crying.my blood boiled. He smiled at me.

"Oops". His sadistic grin widened. I slowly jerked to my left acting like i was going for his left shoulder. He flashed that way. As soon as he started to attack i changed ways and went right at his ankles. He didn't see it coming so i yanked his legs out from under him and elbowed him in his groin while slashing his back left ankle.

I pounced back up into a fighting stance. His eyes showed total shock and them malice as he stood back slowly. I laughed and put my hand on my hip. Ha, that was to easy.

All of a sudden he was on his feet like he didn't even have a scratch on him and his hand flung out coming across my cheek and slapping me. The force knocking me to the ground.

Oh no he didn't.

"Your arrogance brings you down girl". He glanced at me on the floor.

I took my hand and swiped the blood off my lip from where it split at the force of the hit. I wobbly stood pulling the same trick as him. I put my hand on my knee and the other on my hip as he circled my crouched figure. I took a deep breath. And slid my hand to my boot.

"Please don't hurt me" i whimpered acting like the hit had actual done a lot of damage.

He smirked. "The great vampire hunter actually bows down to me i cant wait to tell this story to doge". That pissed me off so i grabbed the stake out of my boot and launched at him from spot the on the ground. I knocked him down by surprise. And shoved the stake thru his chest a half an inch from his heart. His eyes widened and he got relay clammy while gasping. I slid my hand down his chest and rubbed it up and down over and over and then up my side to my back to grab my last weapon a three inch silver dagger. And pulled out slamming it above his little friend. He screamed out in pain trying to kick me off of him but every time he jerked the stake scraped his heart sending his body into spasms.

"I don't bow down to no one". I told him" i shoved off of him knowing he wasn't going any where. He gasped for air again and tried to get up but i just shoved him back down.

"Nope you stay there because a flick of a wrist and that stake goes thru your heart. He stiffened and stayed down.

I walked over to halo.

She sat up with blood running down her forehead in little drips while sucking her thumb. I pulled her into my arms and rocked her. I was so scared that she would have been way worse. I walked out the door and put her into a closet on a little make shift bead and closed the door not wanting her to see what i am going to do.

I came back into the room with all of my hunting equipment. The vampire laid where i left him.

"So whats your name" i asked. He didn't reply.

"So your going to do this the hard way i see". I pulled out a holly water slash vervain soaked rag. His eyes widened as i grabbed a hair tie out of my bag. I slowly walked up to him and straddled his waist and dragged my hand down his chest his breath quickened as i leaned down and whispered in his ear. "Thats okay , i like it better that way". I grinded my ass onto his lap. Gosh i hated this but this is the only way for answers. He moaned in ecstasy. I felt his friend come alert. Yes just what i wanted . I slowly unbuttoned his pants as i saw his erection i wanted to vomit. I grabbed the rag when his eyes were closed and wrapped it around his friend and put the rubber man on it keeping it there. And pulled up his boxers. He screamed out in agony as i slung off of him and went to stand by the wall acting all bad ass. He kept screaming out profanities. "My name is Samuel, gosh damn it take it off". He yelled and finally just sagged in pain. "Your a bitch". He muttered.

"Dude you tried to kill me and dropped my sister and i am a bitch". I hissed. Wow the nerve

"Yea, but i dropped her out of surprise, i don't hurt kids. " he mumbled and groaned in pain.

"Now who are you working for". Not believing a word he says.He just stared at the sealing his eyes fogged with pain.

"Fine". I grabbed a stake and slammed it into his shoulder. He yelled loudly and hissed while cussing out profanities.

"Shit girl i should have listened to Jax when he said you were dangerous and a major bitch".

I laughed historically.

"What you thought i would have been easy to kill, dude news flash i have killed more than 70 vampires fixing to be 71 if you don't call one of your leaders here so we can 'talk' ". I smirked and he just nodded finally giving up.

Perfect, i finally get revenge, i sat and waited for the so called vampire king.

He sure will be surprised to see the girl who has killed 18 of his vampire in less than a month. Ha cant wait to see his face.
