The Pride of the Heart

I awoke from my sleep in the depth of the night,My body trembling, broken by a sudden fright.
I found myself cast into a stranger's land,In a dark universe where joy is banned.
And late September, with its magical grace,Poured down a piercing chill upon my face.
I fled a dream that was splendid and deep,Yet shrouded in mysteries it chose to keep.
So in my confusion, to my soul I returned,Asking: Who cast the fire where I burned?
O heart, why have you surrendered to grief?Drowning your world, finding no relief?
Who is the one who dared to oppress,Causing your tears and this bitter distress?
Then my tears overflowed like a torrential wave,And my horizon grew dark, like a shadow in a cave.
Yet my heart cried out: "Patient I shall stay,For I have done no wrong, nor led anyone astray!"
I cloak my wounds and hide the pain I bore,Yet for the one who failed me, I regret no more.
Proud and unbowed, through all the grief I'll stay,Even if darkness clouds my brightest day.
Like a lonely tree, my life has been spent,Giving precious pearls wherever I went.
Yet nothing but sorrow from mankind I bore,A bitter injustice that wounded me sore.
Pure is my nature, from malice I am free,Yet only their harm was inflicted on me!
Has anyone seen a soul passing by,Comforting trees when they wither and cry?
When autumn arrives with its cruel decree,And treacherous September betrays every tree?
For I am the one who embraces the bough,Holding them close with a passionate vow.
I caress their soft leaves with a tender embrace,A warmth that from humans I could never trace.
I offer my thanks to the plants as they grow,For the unconditional love they bestow.
And special gratitude to the soil I owe,It held my heavy frame and never told me to go.
With elevated hope, I shall walk my own way,And the world will turn bright, like a rainy spring day.
My Creator will wipe every sorrow I bore,And my soul shall enlighten, despairing no more.

This poem is translated from my original Poem which is in Arabic and here it is:
