Backstory: She was never supposed to exist. Anne was created in a secret laboratory using the DNA of a human, radioactive spider and a genetically engineered symbiote known as Venom. Their plan was to create a clone of Spider-Man in another form, However, Anne developed differently and was labeled a "failed" experiment. But in the end, she was different then what they planned to make.
Anne possessed the familiar abilities associated with Spider-Man, enhanced strength, agility, reflexes, wall-crawling, heightened senses, and a spider-sense. However, her abilities manifested slightly differently and the symbiote amplified her powers to a stronger level. She wasn't broken or unstable as they thought she would be. The scientists continued experimenting on her, trying to understand why she wasn't developing exactly like their original subject.
Despite being labeled as a failed experiment and found her useless. Anne found out about the outside world and was curious and fascinated by it. She wanted to live like every human being.
Her life changed when she was eighteen years old. the laboratory was eventually shut down after an incident exposed the experiments, Anne managed to escape during the chaos but didn't understand what to do with herself now that she was free from everything.
When she slowly settled into a normal life and learned from people, She started to develop emotions and feelings like everyone and soon made an identity for herself known as Anne Winters. But knowing that she had superpowers, Anne knew she couldn't live a normal life and wanted to make a meaning for her abilities. After learning about the bad things that happen in the world and what corruption could do. Anne knew that someone needed to step up and protect the city.
That's when she started training herself extensively and learned how to use and control her powers, After enough practice, Anne created a costume that resembled her powers and became a superhero known as "Spider-Woman" and has been fighting crime for years while balancing her regular life as a photographer at the daily bugle.
As the years went by, She took down many villains including major level threats and teamed up with the avengers and was once with the X-Men. Both teams respected her and offered Anne to join them, Instead of picking between them. Anne preferred to work alone and stay in New York but mentioned if they needed any help, She was ready to join them and they respected her opinion.
