Jake's Neverland Rescue - Part One (Chapter 1)

The afternoon sun shone brightly over Never Land.
The waves rolled lazily against Pirate Island, palm trees swayed in the warm breeze, and somewhere in the distance, the familiar sound of the Jolly Roger's crew arguing could be heard.
But on the opposite side of the island, everything was peaceful.
Almost too peaceful.
Bucky rested beside the beach with his sails lowered, rocking gently with the tide.
A blanket had been spread across the sand.
Food covered nearly every inch of it.
Cubby was sitting cross-legged beside a basket of fruit, trying very hard not to eat everything before Jake returned.
Izzy sat beside him, her extremely long dark-brown hair falling in two thick braids nearly all the way to her knees. Small golden beads decorated the ends of her braids, catching the sunlight whenever she moved.
She adjusted the pink bandanna around her head and glanced toward the horizon.
"Jake should've been back by now."
Cubby grabbed another piece of fruit.
"Maybe Peter Pan needed him for another adventure."
Izzy smiled.
"Knowing Jake, he'd probably volunteer for ten more."
Skully fluttered down onto the top of Bucky's mast.
"Crackers! I see something!"
Izzy immediately stood.
"Where?"
"Coming from the clouds!"
Cubby shielded his eyes.
A figure was approaching rapidly through the sky.
Then—
"YO HO!"
Jake dropped from above and landed neatly on the sand.
Izzy's face lit up.
"Jake!"
Jake grinned.
"Hey, mateys."
He looked different from the younger pirate they had all known.
At eighteen, Jake had grown considerably taller. His spiky black hair stuck out from underneath his red bandanna, his hazel eyes were bright with confidence, and his blue waistcoat with gold trim fit over his white ripped V-neck shirt.
His indigo trousers were tucked neatly into his boots, and his gray waistband and red sash completed his captain's look.
He had also become noticeably stronger.
Cubby stared at him.
"Did you get taller again?"
Jake laughed.
"Maybe."
Izzy walked toward him.
"Maybe?"
She stopped directly in front of him.
She had to tilt her head upward.
Jake raised an eyebrow.
"Something wrong?"
"You're doing it again."
"Doing what?"
"Standing there being ridiculously tall."
Cubby snorted.
Jake smiled down at Izzy.
"Sorry, Iz."
Izzy crossed her arms.
"You're not sorry."
"Nope."
She tried to glare at him.
It lasted approximately three seconds.
Then she smiled.
Jake gently handed her the small golden pouch hanging from her neck.
"Here."
Izzy immediately recognized it.
"My pixie dust!"
"I promised I'd bring it back."
She opened the pouch and checked inside.
"Still there."
Jake nodded.
"Didn't use much."
Izzy rolled her eyes playfully.
"It's for emergencies Jake so that's not going to happen."
Cubby looked impressed.
"So what happened?"
Jake sat down beside them.
"Peter needed help. The river running through the Tiki Tree Forest was blocked, so the trees weren't getting enough water."
Izzy smiled.
"So you saved the trees."
Jake shrugged.
"Peter would've done it himself, but he was checking on some things beyond the Never Sea."
Skully fluttered down beside them.
"Jake helped Peter!"
Jake laughed.
"It wasn't a big deal."
Izzy nudged his shoulder playfully.
"To you it was a big deal."
Jake smiled and looked toward the ocean.
For a moment, his expression became thoughtful.
"You know... Peter asked me if I'd ever want to travel with him."
Cubby blinked.
"Beyond Never Land?"
Jake nodded.
"All kinds of places."
Izzy's smile faded slightly.
Jake noticed.
"Iz?"
"I'm listening."
Jake was not convinced and nudged her.
"You okay Iz?"
Izzy Nodded with a smile.
Jake looked back toward the sea.
"It'd be amazing. Flying through the sky. Seeing places none of us have ever seen."
Cubby smiled.
"That sounds awesome."
Jake chuckled.
"Yeah."
He looked at Izzy.
"But..."
She raised an eyebrow.
"But?"
Jake pointed around them.
"I'd miss this."
He gestured toward Pirate Island.
"The beach. Bucky. Shipwreck Beach. Mermaid Lagoon."
Then he looked at Cubby.
"You."
Cubby smiled.
Jake's gaze moved to Izzy.
"And you."
Izzy's cheeks warmed.
Jake leaned slightly closer.
"Especially you."
Izzy immediately looked away blushing.
"You're such a flirt."
Cubby covered his mouth to hide a laugh.
Skully squawked.
"Crackers! Jake made Izzy blush!"
"I did not!"
"You absolutely did."
Jake laughed.
Izzy lightly shoved his shoulder.
"You're impossible."
Jake smiled.
"Only for you Iz."
Then he looked around.
"Besides... Never Land is home."
He stood.
"Never Land forever!"
Izzy smiled.
"Never Land forever."
Cubby joined in.
"Never Land forever!"
Skully spread his wings.
"NEVER LAND FOREVER!"
A strange sound suddenly echoed through the island.
BOOM.
Everyone froze.
Jake's hand immediately went toward his sword.
Izzy looked around.
"What was that?"
Another pulse of strange magic swept across the beach.
Jake's sword—
vanished.
Jake stared at the empty space beside his waist.
"...Uh."
Cubby blinked.
"Jake?"
Jake looked down.
"My sword is gone."
Izzy's eyes widened.
"How?"
"I don't know."
Jake searched the sand.
Nothing.
He looked at Bucky.
Nothing.
Skully flew around frantically.
"Crackers! It's gone!"
Jake's expression became serious.
"Everyone stay together."
Izzy nodded.
Then Fairy Rock began glowing.
A strange blue-white light emerged from it.
The three pirates stared.
A mysterious voice echoed through the air.
"Pirates of Never Land..."
Cubby swallowed.
"Okay. That's new."
The voice continued.
"Never Land is fading."
The grass around them flickered.
For one terrifying second, part of the beach disappeared before returning.
Izzy stepped closer to Jake.
"What does that mean?"
"It means something's wrong with Never Land's magic."
The glowing stone showed them images.
Trees losing their color.
Water becomes still.
Flowers disappearing.
Pieces of the island flickering in and out.
Cubby stared.
"That's... bad."
Jake smiled.
"Come on crew let's go to the forever tree and save Neverland."
All smiled.
"Yo ho let's go!"
They all left on Bucky to Neverland and while Hook was tricked by Peter Pans treasure again.

End of chapter 1

(Side note of what the crew looks like older versions of themselves.
Jake his outfit consists of a blue waistcoat with a collar and gold trims and buttons, over a white ripped V-neck T-shirt with a black crossed lace on his neckline. He also sports a gray waistband with a red stash around his waist, indigo trousers, He has hazel eyes, spiky black hair, light olive skin, and He always wears a red bandanna around his head and he is a bit muscular now very strong (he as abs and his handsome (According to all the women on Neverland they found him now attractive and were jealous of Izzy being closer to him and voice his deeper from puberty and a flirt when around Izzy (he has a fear of Spiders (let's just say He screamed like a girl when seeing a spider)(and Jake headcannons he is not afraid of fighting people, he is very protective of his crew ) Izzy carries a very slender figure. She has long, dark brown hair that is longer and still in pigtails with golden beads now (Real gold that was a gift from Peter) (that goes to her knees), brown eyes, medium skin, gold loop earrings on each of her ears. She is always seen wearing a pink bandanna with swirly white doodles on the trim and a couple of hair strands sticking out the front. Her outfit consists of a pink, short-sleeved shirt that hangs off her shoulders and a dark purple corset and a brief V-cut neckline, purple pants, a pair of red bucket-top boots with low heels, and a brown lace around her neck that holds a small gold pouch of pixie dust, which is used in the case of emergencies and Shorter than Jake and Cubby (she always had to stand on her tippy toes to reach anything)(Izzy's Headcannon is she knows that she was from the Mainlands and she the daughter of a royal family but she was brought to Neverland when she was 4 because she wanted to be a pirate not a princess.)
Cubby has blue eyes, fair skin, honey blond hair and dirty blond eyebrows. His outfit consists of a blue bandanna, red shorts with a large orange patch on his right legging, a white T-shirt with a V-neckline, a navy vest with gold buttons on the trims, white socks with blue trims above each of them, and brown boots with gold buckles. And the rest are still the same in the show.)
