Sara woke up to the sound of her alarm, the sun rays coming in through her window.
"Oh, just so excited for school," she said sarcastically under her breath. She'd be excited to see her friend group, but that was about it. The thought of going to school and seeing... Creeden. Creeden and her always got into fights, and it ruined her day.
By the time Sara pulled into the school parking lot, she was already regretting leaving her house.
She grabbed her backpack and headed inside, immediately spotting Ivy, Celeb, and Karlee by the lockers.
"Sara!" Ivy called, waving her over. "You're finally here."
"Barely," Sara replied, leaning against the locker beside Karlee.
Karlee laughed. "Let me guess. You almost went back home?"
"Seriously considered it."
Celeb shook his head. "You would've missed the math test."
Sara's eyes widened. "What math test?"
The three of them stared at her.
"You forgot?" Ivy asked.
"I have a life, Ivy."
"You have a life that apparently doesn't include listening in class apparently."
Sara groaned and covered her face with her hands. "This day is already terrible."
"Could be worse," Karlee said.
Sara lowered her hands. "How?"
Karlee pointed behind her.
Sara slowly turned around.
Creeden.
He was walking down the hallway with a couple of his friends, laughing about something. The second his eyes met Sara's, his smile faded into that familiar smirk.
"Great," Sara muttered.
Creeden walked past, purposely bumping his shoulder against hers.
"Watch where you're going," Sara snapped.
He stopped and turned around. "You were standing in the middle of the hallway."
"I was standing by my locker."
"Same thing."
Karlee immediately stepped between them. "And this is why I hate mornings."
Creeden laughed. "Morning, Karl."
"Don't encourage him," Sara said.
Creeden looked at Sara again, his expression almost amused. "See you in class, princess."
Sara's jaw dropped. "Did you just call me princess?"
He continued walking.
His laughter echoed down the hallway.
Karlee looked at Sara. "You know, one day you two are going to kill each other but verity is gonna get you first."
"I can only hope."
*time skip to math*
Unfortunately, Sara's first class was math.
And unfortunately, Creeden sat directly beside her.
She tried her best to ignore him while the teacher handed out the test.
"Phones away," the teacher said. "And no talking."
Sara picked up her pencil.
Creeden whispered, "Good luck."
She turned around slightly. "Why?"
