Our Similer Differences (Criminal Minds FanFiction)

Episode 1

*Like I mentioned in the description this is simply a test and me goofing around with an idea ive had since I first saw the show. There will be strange or out of place things or bad information but im not going for total accuracy. This if it goes well will be edited to fit the character better if I write more. So I just hope you enjoy and let me know what you all think*

I felt the sun in my eyes as I started to wake up. Today was my day off and I somehow still woke up at my normal time. I wasn't sure if it's because of my built-in timer or because I could hear the chaos of the house downstairs. Regardless, I was awake now and couldn't go back to sleep. The chaos of my family, my parents, four siblings, two of their spouses, and three little kids. Two nieces and one nephew. Making it a grand total of eleven people, not counting myself.

My older sister, Victoria, was married to Danial and they have two kids, a boy named Henry who's 4 years old, and a girl named Charlotte who we just called Charlie for short. She's 8 years old while my oldest brother, Jonathan, and eldest of us all is married to Claire and they have one daughter, Emma who is 6 years old. Other than myself I have my two youngest brothers, Nicholas, and Alexander who is just 19 and on his way to college, without any plans about what he wants to do. My dad and him argue so much about what he's going to do for a career that I swear I can almost hear the argument all the way up here in my room.

I couldn't just lay here. I was incapable of just sitting around anymore now that I was 'Detective Bennett' at the police station. Finally I threw the blankets off and I sat up, looking out the window to see what the weather was today and it was all clouds and rain. Typical. I pushed myself up with a mumbled complaint to the weather like it would help clear it up and I got cleaned up in my personal bathroom. Once dressed I tied my hair back, my dark auburn waves barely being held back by my hair tie due to how thick my hair was. I got that from my father. I got dressed in some jeans, a long sleeve shirt and Levi jacket that was my personal signature according to everyone at the station when in reality it was just very durable if and when I got into a scuffle.

When I headed down stairs I had to navigate the halls like a mine field. Someone dumped their box of Legos all over the floor when running for breakfast. I'd bet money on Henry, who crazy enough was an exact replica of my older brother Jonathan when he was younger at least. I guess it's in the family. But also Henry was just 4 so I would have to let it go for a few more years at least. Stepping into the dining room I saw everyone was there and it was loud with conversation and clattering of silverware on plates and adjustments of chairs. My dad was talking business with Jon while my mom was talking to Victoria and Clair about the gossip around town. With them as well was Charlotte, who was always copying her mom Victoria.

On the other end of the table was Daniel, Vicki's husband who was focused on Henry trying to get him to eat something he was sure he hated, despite eating it yesterday morning. With them my two youngest brothers Nicholas and Alexander. Alex was the youngest at 19 years old and possibly the only one who agrees with my choice in career. I started off as a cop and worked my way into the youngest detective ever in the Seattle Washington police department.

I took the remaining open chair at the table and started to fill the plate with food that my mom and Victoria and Claire had been working on all morning.

"Sabrina you're up early" My mom noticed me and smiled brightly as she looked past everyone and over to me. I nodded

"Yeah I couldn't sleep" I lied simply as I grabbed some toast and added jam to it to eat.

"Oh I'm sorry honey-I knew we were being too loud" she muttered the last part as she looked at Vicki and Claire. Vicki shook her head, not bothered by it but Claire nudged her in the arm to stop her from saying something that sounded rude or insensitive.
