THE EIGHT

There were things in this world that humans were never meant to know.

Magic was one of them.

For centuries, people had lived their ordinary lives without ever realizing that something existed beyond what their eyes could see.

They went to work.

They went to school.

They fell in love, fought with their neighbors, complained about exams, celebrated birthdays, and grew old.

They never knew that, only a few miles away from their homes, ancient symbols were carved into stone walls.

They never knew that there were people who could command fire with their hands.

They never knew that creatures existed in the shadows.

And they definitely didn't know that something had been waiting for them.

Something ancient.

Something patient.

Something evil.

The people who knew about magic had spent generations making sure it remained hidden.

There were rules.

Never reveal magic to ordinary humans.

Never use magic where humans could witness it.

Never summon what you cannot control.

And above all-

Never awaken the darkness.

For a long time, those rules had worked.

Until eight students walked into a university called Elaris University.

And none of them knew that their lives were about to change.

---

Elaris University was nothing extraordinary.

At least, that's what it looked like.

A prestigious university filled with students from different places, crowded lecture halls, endless assignments, noisy cafeterias, strict professors, and the usual chaos that came with university life.

Nothing magical.

Nothing strange.

Nothing that would make anyone believe that something had been hidden there for centuries.

But appearances could be deceiving.

Deep beneath the university, behind walls no ordinary student had ever seen, something had been waiting.

Waiting for the right moment.

Waiting for the right people.

And that moment had finally arrived.

It began quietly.

There was no thunder.

No strange light covering the sky.

No announcement.

No warning.

Just eight people who knew nothing about one another.

Eight students who had never met.

Eight lives moving in completely different directions.

Yet, somewhere beyond what they could see, something had already recognized them.

One by one, they began to dream.

At first, the dreams were different.

A dark corridor.
