Even though the room was empty, it still felt like there was too much around you. Too much quiet. Too much to think about. Too many people probably spying at you through the one way mirror.

It was suffocating the quiet girl, even though nobody was there.

No machines hooked up to you, no people surrounding you with white coats, no syringes with the fluids they'd inject.

The young girl hid in the corner of the empty room, facing the wall. Your hands trembling.

The other kids were always gone within less than a year. You though to herself.

So why were you still here in this hellhole?

Present...

[name] was now enrolled in the UA hero course for her third year.

You had been let go three years ago when you were fifteen and enrolled in Shiketsu, but in your last year in the training course you decided to switch schools and go to UA.

After years of hard work in private, the girl had been holding back most of your strength. Since you were pretty skinny, but strong, because those people never fed you anything except this weird paste that contained nutrients for the day.

Most would be judgemental about her hidden strength, because she was skinny. So she had to hold back.

Nobody outside the lab knew where she came from either... not even the teachers.

But that didn't mean people were curious... or pissed at your behavior.

Bakugo was one of them.

He had seen you in class before. You were too... different than anybody he's ever met before.

Your back was always straight, as if you were bracing yourself for something, your hair always tied up in a low ponytail. Your breakfast routine the same meal; scrambled eggs, toast, and strawberry juice.

And that you spoke in perfect Grammer, but didn't know a single slang word, and apologized when you didn't need.

It all screamed red flag.

Bakugo had a gut feeling it could be one of four things.

One. You were a robot.

Two. You were abused.

Three. She's been trained by the government.

Four. She was an undercover villain.

But scratch the fourth one. That was just dumb, and had the least amount of chance.

"Oi. Extra," the blonde shouted from across the common room.

[name] was sitting on the edge of the coach, reading some book. It was covered in book wrapping paper so he couldn't read the title, but he didn't care about a few pieces of paper binded together.

"What'cha doin'?"

You hadn't turned your head yet, not knowing he addressed you. Even though nobody else was in the room.

He stomps over there, snatching the book out of your hand.

"Look at me when I'm speaking to you," he warns.

"I'm sorry... I did not know you were speaking to me," you apologize.
His eye twitches. "I didn't ask for an apology."

"Sorry," you mumble out.

"Tch. Stop apologizing," the blonde mutters, "also come with me. I got something to ask," he says, just to make sure you had something to say other than an apology.

You nod hesitantly as he leads the way to the hallway.

Finally somewhere near the end of the hallway he stops walking. The blonde turns his heel to face her.

"What's your deal?! You just showed up out of nowhere. And you act like some AI robot too, always apologizing," he snaps.

But he wasn't angry... yet. Just confused and caught off guard with how you acted. Those two years after the war he'd matured and learned how to control his emotions a bit, not getting pissed at just anything. And worse. He feels like you're holding back on everything you do.
He might be all hotheaded and mean, but that doesn't mean he doesn't notice anything.

"I'm not an Artificial intelligent robot," you answer deadpan. Taking him way too seriously for something so stupid.

Bakugo's foot taps impatiently on the floor, ready to snap once again.

But he won't.

If you were a robot your fingers wouldn't have trembled. And if you were some undercover villain you'd probably be less stiff, and probably be snooping around more.

And UA had been strict about who they'd been letting in the school.

You weren't doing either so that meant...
