The sky outside is a deep navy blue, not that much of it is in eyes view, but it still looks freezing out there. The curtains are pulled mostly shut, evening light slipping through the cracks. Beside the window, a fire crackles in the fireplace, illuminating the room in a cozy, warm glow.

Violet sits at the edge of the couch, her knees tucked up to her chest, a blanket wrapped tight around her shoulders to fight off the winter night's chill.

Tony sits next to her, starting to get pretty annoyed about what the hell shes watching, it's like ratatouille but on crack.

"Do you even like this, or are you trying to torture me?" Tony says, clearly irritated.

"What do you mean? This is the most amazingest movie in the whole wide universe." Violet says, trying to prove that it is as amazing as she says it is.

Tony sighs, "Uh, yeah sure, whatever, kid." He is too tired to even have an argument with her over something stupid again.

"It is!" Violet shouts at Tony, which then he puts his hands up in mock surrender.

"Okay, okay i get it, Jesus." Tony says softly, shushing her, because of how late it is, and Violet loses her temper a lot, and he doesn't want to deal with that.

When the movie was almost over, Tony sees that Violets eyes were closed, meaning she fell asleep.

"Vi?" Tony asks, seeing if Violet was faking it, and when she didn't open her eyes he gave her a little nudge, but she didn't wake up.

Tony smiles, tucking a loose curly strand of hair behind her, and lifting her up effortlessly, taking Violet to her bed.
