The azure sizzles with a burnt orange, fading into an ineffable purple-blue.
Along the many particles of sand, sits Seyla. The second born of Tonowari, Olo'eyktan of the far reefs. Leader to the strong-willed people of the ocean.
Some say she is just like her father, an exact copy. Fierce, steady, a warrior.
Other say she is her mother's falling figure. Stubborn, captivating, arrogant.
Her siblings are often divided just the same. Who is more of who, and who is what. But to Seyla, each one of the 3 has their own personalities.
They are them.
And she is right in the middle. The middle of it all. Exactly were she is to be determined of who. A bit of all of them, at once.
When she was younger, she tried to distract all the chatter and gossip of what kind of child she would grow up to be by causing absolute chaos. Which was only the answer to all the talk.
She was considered worse than her childish brother. She was a rule breaker, always falling out of line while in public. But she wasn't as arrogant as the rest of her family was. She believed everybody was one, and that she was not above nor below anyone, and neither were they.
She treated everybody as just. Which made everyone awe over her beauty inside and out.
She was goofy-she was clumsy-she was everything related to rule breaker but at the end of the day, Seyla will always be Seyla. And that's what mattered most to her.
Until the day she lost her best friend and Tulkun-sister.
That day, she lost everything. Her sister, her bestfriend from the start. Even Seyla. From that day on, she would never be the same.
Slowly she lost her spark. Refusing to talk more than needed to. Not accepting the warmth of her siblings she once was the brightest to.
She was a completely different person. Dull, and broken.
But she could never speak why. There were marks, mapped like history. Deliberately hidden within her skin. Slivered slashes in certain spots of her bright teal skin. Grounding her color into gray lines marking the love she once lost.
But everything started to change when a unknown arrival made its way into the village.
Loud horns blared, villagers bellowed. And Seylas motions blur into a panic.
She searches desperately for her siblings not wanting to lose another, this time by blood.
Her braids slapped her face violently as she shifts within the growing crowds.
Then suddenly, she is in the middle of it all.
A group of 6 slim navy blue navi's stand in the center. Eyes darting everywhere like lost children looking for their parents.
"Seyla!" Aonung, her older brother calls out. He paces over, glancing to the odd six being circled. His man bun bouncing with each heavy step towards his sister.
Just then Seyla feels a gentle hand grip her upper arm. She turns to see her sister soaking with water. Her entrance very alluring, as one of the navy blue boys can't seem to rip his gaze off her.
Seyla's gaze shifts to each of the family members, her gaze landing on the smallest.
Her braids so small they barely reached shoulders length. And her orbs were filled with fear.
Seyla's eyes grew with curiosity. Her head tilting as she stares at the youngling.
"Father." Aonung quickly warns. His posture straightens as his sisters quickly fall into line after.
Everyone's gaze falls in. But Seyla can't help but glance back at the cute little girl.
The youngest finally turns to meet Seyla's gaze. Seyla doesn't waste time to smile at the girl. The girl, wrapped gracefully around her father's imposing figure smiles brightly. Her fear was instantly banished.
