This team comes from an alternate timeline so I will be taking some liberties. And no, eventually MCU character deaths will not erase members of the team. This isn't Back To The Future. Amazing movie but not what I'm going for.
The machine they used was basically held together by chicken wire and duct tape. So instead of sending them back in time for their universe it sent them to 2012 in the MCU.
The earth the come friend is Earth-555326. I'm under the belief that this is the same universe as the Ultimate Avengers 2006 animated film.
The Earth their going to is Earth-616 aka Earth-1999999. In the MCU timeline.

1: James Rogers (Captain America)

Parents: Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow).
Role: Leader and inspiration
Suit: dark blue tactical jacket with a red star outline across the chest. Sturdy blue pants likely some form of denim with multiple pockets sewn into the sides. Red gloves and boots.
Gear: Vibranium Shield inherited from his version of Steve. Brought back with him from the alternate future. He isn't against using it like a bladed weapon when he fights with it. He may also carry one or multiple hand guns with extra ammo for more ranged focused combat. He's still a very capable fighter though. He also uses personalized widow gauntlets modeled after his mother's.
Powers: Peak human condition from the super soldier serum inherited from both parent's genes. Steve's pure serum and Natasha'a Red Room attempts to recreate it. He inherited a fully stable version of both through his DNA. This resulted in giving only slightly more raw strength but he lacks the formal training and same amount of experience as they do.
Personality: Switches between serious with others but warm with his team who he views as family. He has a small rivalry with Francis but they're basically best friends. He and Francis have the sane kind of relationship that Steve and Tony had in the MCU.
Origin: Over time Steve and Natasha fell in love with each other. And with the help of Dr Helen Cho's Regeneration Cradle and Wakandan technology, Natasha and Steve were able to conceive a child. James was five years old when Ultron attacked.
