College Aioon and Pafun

Aioon met Pafun because she was sitting in her cousin's seat.

That was literally how it started.

Aioon was an engineering student, and after spending almost the entire afternoon buried under calculations, she finally decided to meet her cousin, Nubneung, for dinner.

She arrived at the café, walked toward the table Nubneung had described, and stopped.

There was a girl sitting there.

Long hair.

A sketchbook open in front of her.

A cup of iced coffee beside her.

And a pencil tucked behind her ear.

Aioon checked her phone.

Nubneung: I'm running late. My best friend is already there. Sit with her first.

Aioon looked at the girl.

The girl looked up.

They stared at each other.

"...You're Aioon?"

"Yeah."

"P'Nu's cousin?"

"Yeah."

The girl smiled.

"I'm Pafun."

And that was it.

No dramatic music.

No love at first sight.

Just two strangers sitting across from each other while waiting for Nubneung.

Pafun was a design student.

Aioon quickly discovered that their worlds were completely different.

Pafun's notebook was filled with drawings.

Aioon's notebook was filled with equations.

Pafun talked about colors, shapes, fabrics, and layouts.

Aioon talked about structures, measurements, and calculations.

Yet somehow, they never ran out of things to talk about.

When Nubneung finally arrived almost forty minutes later, she stopped at the entrance.

Her two favorite people were already laughing together.

"...What happened?"

Aioon looked up.

"You're late."

Pafun pointed at her.

"Your cousin is funny."

Nubneung stared.

"How long have you two known each other?"

Aioon checked the time.

"Thirty-eight minutes."

Nubneung shook her head.

"Unbelievable."

Chapter Two - Friends

After that night, Aioon and Pafun started seeing each other more often.

At first, only because of Nubneung.

Then they started messaging.

Then they started having lunch together.

Then they started studying together.
