"You've got the wrong person! I-I swear I didn't do it-" The police officer slammed Leroy's face into the wall, just hard enough to shut him up.

"You have the right to remain silent." He said as the handcuffs gave an audible c𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘬 around Leroy's wrists.

"I said you've got the wrong guy!"

The police officer scoffed and made him get into the back of the cruiser. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. He was just the wrong guy, in the wrong place at the wrong time. The officer started up the engine; Leroy was not having it. He looked past the divider between him and the police officer, he saw a pair of green eyes looking back at him through the rear view mirror. His eyes trailed to the police officer sitting in the driver seat. "There's no way he can catch me", he thought to himself, "Just pick the cuffs, open the door, and tuck and roll - just like willow would. And I'll be scott free. God, I wish Willow was here" In this moment he was more than glad to be double jointed.

He pulled his arms over his head from behind him, with a pop of pain from his shoulders and-"What are you doing back there?"

"Nothing, sir. Just needed a stretch" Leroy explained. The officer seemed to buy it and turned away. That's when Leroy got to work.

He had a mangled bobby pin and another one that was alright in his shoe. Willow had given them to him and taught him the basics, they were a pain to walk with but a life saver right now. He slowly pulled them out, but he knew that picking the cuffs would make a load of noise and that copper would simply add it to the charges. He needed to make 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬.

This just happened to be the one thing Willow hadn't taught him.

"So..." He declared loud enough for the police officer not to hear the first click from the handcuffs.

"So?" The officer returned, eyes on the road

"Err...What's it like being a police officer?" Another click

"Anything you do and say will be used against you in court." The officer's grey eyes flashed to the rear view mirror then back to the road. He hadn't seen.

"I just mean, It must get really...difficult", He commented louder than he ought to have in order to mask another click, "Y'know with all the arrests and...um...other policey stuff"

"You are being taken to the county police department for questioning and assessment", Leroy could see his eyes start to narrow, He needed to act fast.

"Yeah, That sounds 'uper cool and all but I didn't do anything. Did you arrest me because I'm black? I've heard about things like this but 𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘯 I wasn't expecting it to be this bad!" That was three more clicks, He was almost home free.

"You're under arrest on suspicion of murder." The officer was clearly getting more and more tired of the stupid things he was saying.

"Sir, I'm 17. I don't think that's really an age for murder. Plus, I told you, I didn't do it" Leroy said the last part through gritted teeth. The last jam on his left cuff must be rusted or something. He just had to...move it a bit to the left...and...Done! When he got the last one to move it made a thunderous noise as the handcuffs fell off. Leroy's heart sank as the officer's hand shot to his hand held radio.

It was about time for his least favourite part - The tuck 'n' roll.

The officer yelled something he couldn't make out as he opened the door and launched out of it, performing a trick his sister must have done a million times.

In the blink of an eye he was on the concrete in a fetal position.

He made it. His head hurt, his eyes were watery, but he made it. He felt like laughing and celebrating but all noise died in his throat as the police cruiser skidded to halt not one block down the road. Leroy clambered to his feet, His head was pounding and his forehead burned. The world seemed to tilt on its axis but still he ran. He ran as fast as he could before the officer could catch up to him.

Willow was gonna kill him.

The icepack was a nice cool balm for his injury and his sister's harsh words.

He'd just gotten back, promptly almost fainted, found out that burning was a huge bleeding gash on his forehead (He probably split his head on some concrete), panicked, had Willow bandage his head, got an icepack to soothe the pain and then got kicked into a lecture from his sister about 'criminal ethics and etiquette'. What a great day to be Leroy. "Roy, we are not killers! we steal, we scam, we threaten, but we dont-" She prompted.

"Kill." He finished, "But I didn't even kill anyone. I know I sound dumb but it was a misunderstanding..."

"Uh-huh. A misunderstanding? Something like this could get us in a lot of trouble" She scoffed.

"You don't believe me..." He murmured.

She looked at his disheveled appearance and sighed, "I honestly do, Roy, I know you wouldn't do something like this but the police don't know you and they think you did it. You running away is another offense and just makes you seem more guilty. You're probably wanted all over Inkster"

It took a minute for the silence to get uncomfortable. Leroy knew this situation was bad but the true weight only now dawned on him. He'd never actually seen Willow this upset. It hurt seeing her like this. He'd much rather be in jail.

She still helped him to his feet. He was around 5inches taller than her so he could see the way she parted her long brown hair that always fell in ringlets down her back, it was a side part today. He thought she said sideparts were stupid...

They stumbled all the way to the living room, if you could even call it a 'living room'. It was just a random corner in the warehouse they called home. They put a TV they had looted from a store on some empty crates and plugged in a bunch of cables that connected to God knows where. It didn't matter anyway, It worked.

They both flopped on the - hopefully not termite infested - couch they found a while back behind a dumpster. Willow grabs the remote and has to bat it in the air multiple times to get it working. She finally presses the on button and flips over to the news.

The voice of the female news anchor comes on with a timing that was almost uncanny, "Breaking news. A local seventeen year old boy terrorizes a neighborhood, killing one man and evading police custody. He is likely dangerous and armed. CCTV footage reportedly captured him entering the man's house, where he was found dead moments later, and leaving the scene an hour later. He was last seen wearing a grey jacket over a black print shirt. Be on the lookout. His whereabouts are unknown. If you see something, say something. Dail-" The woman's voice is cut off as a loud bang is heard from behind the tv. Thick smoke fills the air and it's stuck on a single static frame of the footage with a face that looked exactly like Leroy's, in an outfit that looked exactly like Leroy's. Frozen on the TV in front of them.

Leroy rushed to fix whatever was wrong with the TV. Willow just kinda sat there, eyes glazed over and distant. Leroy definitely noticed.

What a great day to be Leroy...
