DAY 5

The villa had barely recovered from breakfast conversations when Kenzie's voice rang throughout the villa where people was doing some of everything. Aniya and Kayda happened to be playing volleyball, Melanie and Sincere were sitting in the Soulties, Kenzie and Corbin were sitting in the kitchen, Trinity was watching Kayda and Aniya, Kc was was with Bryce and Zach talking about who knows what and Beatriz was sitting around still sleeping somewhere, most likely in the speakeasy.

"Guys, guys, guys! I've got a text!"

Everyone immediately started shouting and gathering around her.

Kenzie grabbed her phone from the table and read it aloud.

"Islanders, today you'll be taking part in the Office Slime & Kissing Challenge. Get ready to make some messy decisions. #KissOrSlime #OfficeHours"

The villa erupted.

"Oh, this is about to be terrible," Aniya laughed.

"I'm not getting slime on my hair," Beatriz said immediately.

"You say that like you have a choice," Bryce teased.

Beatriz rolled her eyes.

"I'm serious."

Everyone made their way outside to the challenge area, where an oversized office-themed setup had been placed beside a huge pool of slime. There were desks, chairs, briefcases, and enough slime to make everyone regret agreeing to come on the show in the first place.

Ariana stood at the center of it all, smiling as the Islanders gathered around her.

"Alright, Islanders. You know how this works. The girls are going to choose one of the boys. You can either share a hot steamy kiss with him..."

The boys immediately started cheering.

"...or send him straight into the slime."

The cheering immediately turned into protesting.

"That is horrible!" Bryce yelled.

"I've changed my mind," KC said.

"You can't change your mind," Ariana laughed.

The first few rounds were mostly playful.

There were screams, laughter, slime flying everywhere, and several Islanders already threatening revenge.

Eventually, it was Melanie's turn.

She stepped forward, looking across the boys with a thoughtful expression.

Ariana smiled.

"Melanie, who are you choosing?"

Melanie pretended to think.

"There is no question about this, it's obvious, I'm choosing..."

Before she could finish, a voice came from behind the group.

"Sorry, guys. I need directions because I'm a bit lost. Am I interrupting?"

Everyone turned.

A girl was standing at the entrance to the challenge area.

She had a confident smile, her hands casually resting at her sides as she looked around at the Islanders.

For a second, nobody said anything.

Then Kenzie whispered,

"Oh."

Aniya's eyes widened.
