CHAPTER 1 - First meeting

I've had this feeling for the whole week - a sharp chest pain. It's what people call a "heartbreak". Long story short, it started from a friendzone by my former friend (and crush) Scliffer.

We used to play videogames for hours a day, and I know that sounds nerdy and makes me seem like a loser, but I didn't care about the videogame itself; I cared about spending time with him. His laughs after every joke, even the bad ones, made my stomach flutter, and hearing him pronounce my name made my heart skip a beat everytime, so much it would've made my mom think I needed to go to the ER...

But that slowly faded... Our all-nighters spent playing, our occasional calls just to each eachother, our bond. There isn't much of a reason for that, other than him starting to act differently with me. I thought it was fine, that he'd take one or two days to answer me, until I realized, a week ago, that this time he'd never reply back.

I mean... I was fine with his implicit rejections every time I jokely flirted with him, but I didn't think it would get to that point. Unless it was actually for another reason I'm not aware of.

So anyways I haven't gone out the whole week, I've basically become depressed.
Until today, when I decided it's time to get my life back together - I can't just remain like this forever, right? I have to move on.

Which leads to right now, to me taking a walk outside. Weird right? At this hour I'd be probably on Minecraft instead of outside, but I figured it could help me clear my mind. Not to mention that I actually asked on reddit for advice and this seemed like the easiest option out of all suggested.

When I reach a park I start looking around me. It's full of trees that create shade for anyone walking on this path of gravel, and thanks to them I'm not dying from the immense heat of summer... The grass is freshly cut and the smell is strong enough to distract me from any gloomy thought.

So are the birds' chirps and... a voice, of someone speaking. I walk more until it gets louder and that's when I finally see, seating on a bench, a brunette boy laughing at his phone with his legs crossed. He didn't hear or notice me so I quickly try to hide behind a tree to not disrupt his conversation.

I listen for a while and over hear that he also likes Minecraft. "Are you still up to play this evening? I promise this time I won't spend the whole time building!" The boy laughed.

For some reason that made me feel better, but I wasn't gonna talk to him or anything anyway so why would I care?

Right after that I accidentally move my foot a bit which breaks a stick under, causing a sudden noise. The boy tilts his head suddenly but luckily I hid fast enough so he wouldn't see me. He pauses his conversation for a second until he apologizes and continues talking.

"That was so close, I got scared to death... It looks like I'm stalking him right now, I should probably leave."  I try to carefully walk away between the trees, so he wouldn't hear me, until I hear him mention his tiktok account. I take a mental note of his username for later, then leave quickly.

When I get home I immediatly get on my laptop and look up his account. He posts a lot of Minecraft content.

My head was spinning from the adrenaline, was it from almost getting caught in an akward situation, or something else? The question is now... do I text him?

He posted building videos, unsurprisingly, so I could also post some myself, but that would be kind of weird and the chance of him noticing me that way would be way too low.

I grunt and throw myself back in the chair. "What am I even thinking?! Why would I text him?"

Nothing gives me the right to text him. Yeah I heard him say his tiktok username, so what? Do I just tell him "Oh, I was over hearing your conversation at the park today and heard you say your tiktok username! Be my friend!" ? That's just creepy! I decide to just go sleep and that it would be a thought for the me of tomorrow.

The next day I wake up pretty groggy since I had a hard time falling asleep with him on my mind, but I still force myself to get up. First thing I do is check my phone. A notification just wakes me up immediatly: "Blake followed you back! You are now friends!"

I completely forgot I even followed him... Blake. I didn't expect him to follow me back at all, why would he?

My palms begin sweating, making it hard to hold my phone. I place a hand on my chest and take a deep breath in an attempt to calm down. "D-Do I text him?" I stutter, not even noticing I muttered to myself outloud.

I stare at the chat for a minute until my thumb slips and accidentally presses a sticker. I literally drop my phone and yelp. I let out a cuss word as I pick my phone up and try to delete the accidental message.

The situation worsens when I read "Seen just now" on the screen. I facepalm and grunt as desperate thoughts fill my mind. "Did I fuck up? Is he actually gonna respond or will he think I'm weird? I need a break!"

I leave my phone on the bed and get up to walk around my apartment. I wash my face and then make some coffee until I feel relaxed enough to check my phone again. I never thought I'd be so anxious from a message from a random person...

"Hello! :D Thanks for following me!" I read on the chat. I realize I really was just overthinking it and sigh. I brainstorm the answers that could lead this conversation forward and not ending in just a liked message...

"Hey, youre welcome! I lov3 ur buildings ill definitly build one in my minecraft world lol" "*Love, oops sorry hahah" Sent. This is definitely gonna get an answer from him!

I wait a few minutes, staring at the chat. He hasn't answered yet. Do I let it go, or do I text him again? Surely he will answer soon... So I wait a bit more.

I lay down and stare at the ceiling, in hopes time will pass faster if I just zone out. I start thinking about Scliffer again and how I'd also wait anxiously hours for his answer. I guess that situation just gave me some sort of attachment issue. Maybe that's why I'm waiting so eagerly for an answer.

Suddenly my phone buzzes and I immediatly check. He answered! A smile forms on my face as I read: "Wow, I'm happy to hear that you lov3 them so much! I can't wait to see the builds in your world!" I laugh at the reference to my typo, and my heart starts beating faster. What does he mean that he wants to see the builds in my world?

We chat a bit more, which ends in me giving him the ID to my world if he ever wants to check it out or play together. This all seems so familiar to my relationship with Scliffer...

"By the way, I probably can't play this morning because I'm going to the local park. But I'll see you in the afternoon! :)" He ends the conversation.

Wait, the park? That means I get to see him again if I go too! I suddenly get excited as fantasies fill my head. But I know I'd have to be quiet if I want to see him, because he doesn't know we live in the same town yet.

I decide to not mention that we live nearby, and leave it for the future. He didn't mention what time he will go, so I decide to just spend the whole morning in the spot I saw him last time. This time I'll make sure he won't notice my presence at all.

Hello guys, I said I'd write a fanfic so here. I literally don't have a story ready for this so I'm not gonna take it *too* seriously, but I still hope it's enjoyable. In this fanfic Roswo doesn't post and Blake doesn't have 200k followers but around 10k. Also, cover drawn by me. In my actual style. C U next chapter - Capy
