RYAN

"I believe that we are not done with last week's conversation, and you left laughing at my own joke," Enzo says. "And worst, you didn't answer my calls."

"Not even if I was about to die would I," I say coldly, not wanting to hear the end of Enzo's jokes. "And it's a great distraction, and I told you that I wasn't going to answer your calls or messages."

Thinking about the events of last week makes me feel a mixture of frustration and determination. I'm determined to get to the bottom of the AI assistant situation, but I also feel overwhelmed by the weight of responsibility on my shoulders. But I know I can solve it.

"We really need to fix that coldness of yours. Not only that, everything about you, well except for the charms and the intelligence." Enzo says, clearly not amused by my cold response. Never is.

"That will happen when I see a cow fly," I say dryly.

"Or when you fall in love." He says, with a grin, and I narrow my eyes at him. "Seriously, when the girl you're going to be dating finds out about your real character, she will run away." He laughs.

"Anyway, Ryan, did you hear about the new trend in fashion? It's called the 'clean look'. It's when you don't wear any clothes at all." Enzo says with a mischievous grin.

"That's pretty funny, Enzo," I say, my tone filled with sarcasm. "But I'm not sure it would catch on."

"You never know," Enzo says, undeterred. "It could be the next big thing."

"If it could be the next 'big thing,' you should try it first. I would be the last in the world to do it." I say as I rest my arms on the kitchen island.

"Oh, I see how it is," Enzo says, feigning indignation.

"You're not willing to take a fashion risk, even if it could be the next big trend?"

"Not even if the president said so." I shrug. "I'm just saying that maybe it's not the most practical idea. I mean, where would you put your wallet? In your ass?" I ask.

"No, in a fanny pack, of course," Enzo replies, grinning. "But seriously, Ryan, I'm just messing with you. I know you're not going to go around in your birthday suit." I don't even remember what got us to this point of the conversation.

"I look good in a suit more than you would," I say as I sip my coffee. I look good in a suit; everyone knows that. I don't even remember the last time I saw Enzo in one.

He snorts. Oh, please." Enzo says as he laughs. "You're not the only one who can rock a suit. I look pretty dapper myself, if I do say so myself."

"You do look good in a suit," I say. If not, he will show me pictures of him in suits. "But I think I would have you beaten in the style department," I smirk.

"Now you're just being cocky," Enzo says, shaking his head. "We should settle this with a fashion showdown."

I chortle. "That's your idea?" I ask. "But how would we decide the winner?"

"Of course it is," Enzo confirm, with a sly grin. "And I know just how we can do it. We'll have a runway walk-off. We'll each put on our finest suit, and strut our stuff in front of a panel of judges. The person with the highest score wins." He explains.

"Are you serious?" I raise a brow at his idea.

"Hella-lutely", Enzo beams, nodding solemnly. "We can even get some disco music to play in the background, and a strobe light."

"I can see that you have time to do all that thinking, and where are you getting the money for all that? Because I'm not lending you the money for your absurd ideas."
