They say the most annoying sound is the
morning alarm because it wakes you up from what feels like eternal relaxation... Let's start from the beginning before you see my puffy face- dammit! My red hair was messy every strand having a mind of its own
When i was eleven my parents got divorced because of... well "problems" i stayed with my dad while my mom moved all the way to California to figure out her life and her and "purpose" in life her words not mine, of course she kept in touch as much as she can
Growing up you always think you're a normal looking kid until someone points out how weird you are, well... In my case nobody pointed it out for me but they made sure i know anyway
With a dry skin Hair put up and nerdy glasses i was your basic nerd but even nerds get friends i was just weird, it's not like i didn't try or anything, people just didn't like me i spent all my childhood alone of how socially awkward i am, i spent all my time trying random stuff watching shows and movies i am not supposed to, i learned about arts, sports, fashion, read some books, magazines, etc
Fast forward to middle school and I still struggle to make friends and here the doubt starts "is it my voice? my face? The way I talk? What is it about me that people don't like?" i guess i was just "too much" a know it all stuck up who felt desperate, nobody like a person like this, i know a lot but i just don't know how to talk or start a conversation
here where it started guide to red it's the book i started to write for those who don't fit in society and the guide on how to fit in and survive every awkward weird situation you get into by accepting society terms, guide #1: guide to make over. don't get me wrong i wasn't insecure or anything, but because society doesn't allow anyone specially girls to be or feel anything unless they're pretty, so i know what i must do to fit in society and as tacky as it is, i know it's your favorite part i transformed from this nerdy girls to the gorgeous girl i am, it's not me but it's what people would want me to be, what society want any girl to look like- "VELMA!! COME ON WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!" "i am coming" i yell i i grab my stuff and get down stairs in hurry not wanting to make my dad wait any longer, as i get down i look at the distance my dad standing at the end of the stairs near the door his face was twitched and his foot was tapping on the floor sweat sliding down his bald head, i say in annoyance "i am here" he stare at my from up and down, i was wearing my tight red shirt with over tge knee gray plaid skirt, on knee black boots "what is it?" he doesn't say word instead he head out signaling me to come along
We get into the car he starts driving. His car reeks of alcohol, drunk driving again perhaps? I don't say anything, out of a sudden he starts speaking "isn't this outfit of yours is a bit too much?" i keep on the silent not turning my head from the window, i want to say something my lips move and twitch but nothing comes out the entire ride was pure awkward silent
We finally reached school without saying a word. I got out of the car and he yelled from behind like he'd been waiting the whole ride for this moment just to say something "straight home after school you understand me!?" i just look back at him and continue on
As i head on school here it starts guide #2: guide to survive your so-called "cool friends"-"V'!!" As I hear a voice calling my name I turn around and see her pale skin, golden short hair, a beautiful blow-out small cute face this thing is called "elle" "where were you!? Why are you late?!" she says "I've been waiting for you all day!!" Now step one: put on your best smile and act like a movie character "Okay don't be dramatic it hasn't been all day! It's been barely half an hour. Why are YOU so early anyway?" I say she looks away like all the anger got washed up by something else "no reason" elle says "but you just said-"
Suddenly a hand comes down hard slamming it on the lockers behind me, i turn around and see red jacket i look up a skinny guy with a smile playing on his face, a smile that sends irritation into anyone's soul that lays eyes on it
"hey" he says an even more annoying voice
"hey jim... " i say as i start to walk away
He follows me "it's actually jin" he says in jocking matter like it's funny
"hey jin!" elle says
"oh hi elle love your necklace by the way" jin says
Elle replies "Oh thanks i actually made it my-" he cuts her off "yeah yeah it's nice" he doesn't even move his eyes to look at her "so v' i was thinking if you're free tonight you know if you want to i don't know maybe i take you out or something" i stop to look at him waiting for him to finish "it's not a date! I mean it could be if you want it to be!? Not that you hav-"
he keeps on rambling, scratching his hands playing with them, while I drift in my own mind pretending to listen, in my mind I was thinking "how should I reject him? Should I just tell him off to his face? or should I refuse nicely THppE RIGHT WAY
"I feel like I've been rambling a lot" jin stops for a sec. He takes a breath to cool down for a moment, he composes himself then starts from the beginning this time with more confidence straight ahead "do you want to go out this weekend?" I take breath "i am sorry jin i am not really looking to date anyone at the moment" His face drops in disappointment yet he recovers quick like he's already used to get rejected, he says like nothing happened "no problem it was a shot in the dark anyway" He walks away quickly to avoid awkwardness "bye jin!" Elle yells
