CHAPTER ONE
Song: Alone Together by Fall Out Boy

Mirabella Roy was no stranger to the Skybox. The last six years, she's been there, but today will be her last day, not just in the Skybox but possibly her last day alive. She was sort of having a breakdown, and that meant crying in the corner, pulling at her dark brown hair.

"Prisoner 275, face the wall," a guard said as they pushed open the door.

She obeyed as quick as she could but protested that her birthday was tomorrow and that she still had another day. The guards opened a small box, containing metal wristbands, spikes were poking out of them. If these were supposed to go around your wrist, these spikes would definitely break skin. The small prisoner rubbed her wrist gently, swallowing her fear.

"What are they?" she asked, her voice strained and small.

"Hold out your wrist, Prisoner 27," the guard ordered.

Mira slowly and shakily held out her wrist, which the guard grabbed harshly. He wrapped the metal wristband around her wrist, pressing it into her skin until there was a click and a sharp pain in Mira's wrist, that definitely broke her skin. The guard grabbed her harshly by the shoulders, turning her around and pushed her out of the cell. Outside the cell, were perhaps three levels lined with cells the same as Mira's. Guards were pushing teenagers with their own metal wristbands, most of them were struggling and trying to get away from the guard's grip, but Mira was asking questions.

"Are you floating us all?" she asked, her voice breaking slightly.

The guard shook his head stoically, and continued to effortlessly push her down the hall.

"Then what are you doing to us?" she asked, but the guard -who looked very irritated- ignored her. Mira sighed.

The guard continued to lead her down two flights of stairs, following lots of other guards, pushing their own assigned delinquents along. Mira seemed to disappear amongst the crowd, being at least a head smaller than everyone.

"Can I see my parents?" she asked, but she already knew the answer.

"No," he replied, Mira sighed again. There was silence as they made their way through the crowd. Finally he leant down and whispered in her ear, making her shiver at the threatening tone. "We're sending you to Earth, looking at you, you'll be dead within a day, three days max," he laughed, shoving her forward a little more.

Mira resisted the urge to punch the guard in the face, but knew that wouldn't help her case since she couldn't hurt a fly with her punch. She gulped. "I'm stronger than you think," she warned.

The guard actually laughed at that. "Yeah, right," he replied sarcastically.

She was pushed further into the crowd, which she could barely see above, they entered a drop ship and she was instructed to go to the second level via a ladder. Her guard was right behind her, poking her with a shock baton up the ladder -like they used to do to bears to make them dance. She was pushed into a chair next to another girl, on the other side was a familiar face.

"Cory!" she said, almost excited, she was also disappointed that he was in the Skybox.

The guard was clipping her into her seat, fastening ropes around her frail body. He was making a large gesture of being rough and making them very tight. Just before he left he whispered to her, just so her and the two people beside her could hear, "I'll take a lot of pleasure telling your family that you're dead in a couple of days". Then he left.
