I know I'm probably going to get crucified for even posting this, but I need someone to tell me I'm not losing my goddamn mind.
Everyone's been glued to the Tony Stark disappearance headlines for the past few days-rightfully so, the guy's a billionaire, that's what the news cycles care about. But there's something else happening on the ground here that's getting completely buried, and I can't stop thinking about it.
I've got a contact-Northern Alliance, been reliable for years, never given me bad intel before-who says a U.S. military convoy rolled into a Ten Rings compound yesterday looking for hostages. Standard raid stuff, right? But according to him, something else was already there when they arrived.
A woman made of fire.
I know how absolutely batshit that sounds. I've been sitting on this for hours trying to convince myself it's just battlefield rumors, the kind of shit that always spreads through conflict zones like wildfire. But here's the thing: MULTIPLE people are describing the exact same details. Not just my contact. Other sources. Locals. One of the embedded translators. They're all saying the same impossible thing.
She walked through machine gun fire like it was rain. Didn't flinch. Didn't react. One witness said she kicked a truck and it exploded-the whole thing, just detonated from the force of her foot.
The description is too specific to be made up:
Black boots with gold pointed toes that caught the light like actual metal. Some kind of red cape thing with feathers along the edges, like something out of a fever dream. Gold armor on one arm-just one, asymmetrical, almost ceremonial-looking. Tight black pants, one leg torn completely off at the thigh, like she'd been in a fight before she even got there. Red and black top that barely looked like it belonged to this century. And fire. Actual fire, spiraling around her hands, moving like it was part of her.
She took out half the camp before U.S. forces even breached the perimeter.
Then, apparently, Tony Stark and another prisoner escaped from a cave-A CAVE-in what witnesses are calling "a metal suit." Most people think that part's just shock-induced nonsense, but honestly? After the fire lady story, I don't even know what to believe anymore.
The woman disappeared into the desert afterward. Nobody knows who she is. Nobody knows where she came from. She just showed up, destroyed a terrorist compound, and vanished.
I'm posting this because it feels wrong that nobody's talking about it. Like the world is so focused on the Stark story that they're missing the fact that something impossible happened out there.
Am I crazy? Is this just war zone folklore? Or did we just witness the first real superhuman in the modern era?

Every war zone eventually produces "ghost soldier" stories. Last year it was Soviet vampires in Chechnya. Year before that, some kind of shadow creature in the Congo. Human brains don't process extreme stress well-they start seeing patterns, creating narratives to make sense of chaos. This is almost certainly the same thing. A combination of fear, adrenaline, and the natural human tendency to mythologize.
I'm not saying the witness are lying. I'm saying what they think they saw and what actually happened are probably two very different things.
