(So this prologue will be half of the first chapter, so happy reading!)
I was in my seat, wishing the ground would eat me whole. Wanna know why? I lost a bet in a game, thanks to Nicole. Best friend ko, hays..
Well, my friends looked at me. Teasingly, until Nicole spoke up. "So yung dare mo issss... you're going to call Lance 'baby.' For two weeks! No backing out by the way, I know crush mo siya sooo I decided na ito yung dare mo." She said sweetly, while I covered my face.
"Hays. Pakyu ka, Nicole!" I said, I was slightly irritated and of course I'm embarrassed. I pulled my hands away from my face.
Then I flipped her off, while she laughed. "Lab you too, Aubs." She said, I rolled my eyes playfully.
Me calling Lance 'baby?' Pft, I don't even know kung ano yung magiging reaction niya. Baka hindi yun okay sa kanya, huhu.
"So, bukas yung start neto?" I asked, while she contemplated it. Her expression thoughtful.
"Oo hehehe." She said, while I nodded. Slightly, I'm still flustered kase.
"Sige na nga, tch." I said, now annoyed. Rolling my eyes at her again, then crossing my arms.
Wala talaga akong masabi.. well, tama naman sila. Crush ko na talaga si Lance since high school, I've been scared... of rejection.
And I overthink too much, hindi ko talaga alam if he's okay with it. Pano kung ayaw niya? Huhu, please don't let that happen talaga.
Natatakot talaga ako, or maybe kinakabahan. Maybe both! Ughhh. Back at my dorm, I lay down on my bed staring at the ceiling blankly.
"Hays, tangina. Kakayanin ko ba to?" I said to myself, clutching my pillow. Until a notification popped up on my phone, causing it ring.
I turned over and glared at my phone, not until I saw the name. Of course si Nicole yun, alangan na si Lance? In the middle of the night pa talaga! I decided to answer of course.

During the call:
Nicole: "Pst, bes."
Aubrey: "Ano yun, I thought you were asleep?"
Nicole: "Shh. I have something to tell you."
Aubrey: "Ha? Bakit?"
Nicole: "Nag DM si Lance sakin kanina."
I looked at the camera with shock, hmm.. bakit kaya?
Aubrey: "ANO?! What did he say to you bes!?"
Nicole: "He's asking for your socials, GIRLL. Now's your chance."
Aubrey: "Eh diba, bukas ko gagawin yun?"
Nicole: "Ay oo nga pala"
Aubrey: "Fine I text ko sayo yung socials ko."
Nicole: "Geh, goodnight. May pasok pa bukas, lovelots."
Aubrey: "Night, Nics."
The call ended.
I decided to text Nicole, and yes. I did text my socials, of course. For Lance to see. Hehe, after nun. I set my alarm and charged my phone before turning it off. I tucked myself, closing my eyes.
The next day, I heard my alarm ringing. That's why I jolted awake, I glared at my phone and unplugged it. "Tanginang yan." I said, now irritated. I turned off my alarm and sat up properly.
"Hays, may pasok nga pala." I said, I stood up and fixed my bed. Then habang dala ko yung phone ko, pumunta ako sa cabinet ko para kunin yung uniform ko. I was still sleepy, pero tiniis ko naman yung antok ko.
Pagkatapos, pumunta na ako sa cr para maligo. I showered for like 10 minutes, after that I dried myself and wore my uniform. I started putting light makeup on my face, then I fixed my hair. Curling it slightly, medyo wavy kase yung gusto ko sa hair ko. After that I wore a headband and glasses. I let my bangs down para maganda rin.
Lumakad ako sa small kitchenette ng dorm ko and cooked a simple breakfast, kasi sa lunch lalabas kami ng circle ko.
Hinanda ko na rin yung tubig at gamit ko, of course kinain ko yung cheese toast na ginawa ko. Then nagtoothbrush and sprayed some perfume, wanna know what my scent is? It's strawberries and lemons ;)
I checked my surroundings before leaving, after that. Umalis na ako and nagwait sa bus stop para antayin sila Nicole. A van pulled up, and I opened it sitting inside the backseat. And there she was, si Nicole. Kasama si Jairus, yung boyfriend niya. Tch corny.
Mabuti katabi ko sila Krissha at Bea sa backseat, habang yung mag jowa (yaks) nasa frontseat.
Timecheck: 6:00 AM, over naman sa aga. De joke, yung first class kasi namin 9 AM. Habang nasa kotse kami, may naririnig kami sa likod (fun fact: seven seater so like van na yan HAHAHA) dun ko narealize na nandoon pala si Lance at Wilbert, boyfriend naman ni Bea si Wilbert. Hays, so dalwang magjowa yung kasama namin papuntang school.
Nicole cleared her throat and turned her at me. Then mouthed this. "Ehem, start na yung dare." I rolled my eyes at her then mouthed back.
"Tanga, mamaya nalang please." While she shrugged and looked away.
