Veil beyond

𝑜𝓃𝑒

Getting married can either be the best or worst day. For me it's both, I didn't expect to see my future husband walk towards me and then freeze, as the entire ceremony stops mid clap, a blonde ghost like man appears in front of me, he holds out his pale white hand "Hello, Phantom" I'm not aware I was holding his palm, my eyes close and then I feel my body transform into something different. 

I awake floating above a lake; I can't scream as I thrash around. A strong hand catches my body and lifts me up and into his arms, again my voice is broken as I continue to shriek "Shh... Come on Phantom" the same voice as from my wedding whispers in my ear, I send my hand flying out at him... It stopped halfway from his face; he was controlling my movements as he sat me down and force my arms behind my back, I open my mouth and the ghost like man holds his hand up "Save your voice for when you need it phantom" my body starts to shift and then we were standing in a bedroom, clad white walls stared back at me. 

I blink and the eyes in the wall blinked back at me. I'm able to scream as the eyes shine brightly above me conjuring their own minds and... Then someone's beside me "Hello!" a cheery voice says into my ear, I whirl to them and hold my fist out, no one's there "What's going on?" I whisper, the voice laughs and suddenly there's a glowing child in front of me "Hello! I'm Ginger!" the voice turns high pitched as she says her name, Ginger's smile was bright and the white dress she has on, a night gown type style, is even brighter. 

"Are you a bride?" Ginger asks disappearing and then reappearing beside me, "I am" my confusion must have radiated in my voice because Ginger laughs "Wow! I've never seen a bride before!" "You haven't..." Ginger shakes her head the mop of silver hair waving about "Or at least I've never seen someone in this type of dress before" I blink "Where am I?" I ask, Ginger looks at the door leading from the bedroom "Now that is for him to explain" she blinked and... Disappears. 

I sit on the bed and fall through it; a laugh is heard from behind me. Turning I'm met with him, his hand's outstretched and I reluctantly take it, he pulls me closer to him, and I push him away "I have a question for you" I narrow my eyes at him "What am I doing here?" he shrugs "I thought you knew that Phantom" my eyes glare into his soul "Why am I here?" he places a finger to my lips "You only said one question" he smiles "I'll answer your questions, phantom. Though you'll have to earn it". 

I sigh "I can't get out of this, can I?" he shakes his head "no, you cannot phantom" he tilts my chin up and leans in closer "What do I need to do?" I ask, he steps back slightly and I feel his cold breath on my neck before he disappears. 

A letter is sitting at my feet; I pick it up my hand grazing through it as I take the letter out.

Spiral handing writing says. 

𝒾𝓉 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝓅𝒾𝑒𝓇𝒸𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉—

𝓂𝑒𝑒𝓉 𝓂𝑒 𝒶𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝒶𝓇𝓉,

𝓉𝑜 𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓃 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒹𝒶𝓇𝓉.   

The letter disperses in my hands, and I turn to the door, it opens for me "I suppose it's time for a quest".
