Yeonjun's Mind (TOMORROW X TOGETHER)

Chapter 1: After The Show

My eyes were nearly blinded by the sea of phone flashlights pointed right at us. It was surreal knowing this was the final stop of our tour. For our last encore, we performed "So What" from our latest project, appreciating every second as thousands of voices sang along.

As the song came to an end, the five of us stood side by side, waving to the crowd and blowing kisses in every direction.

"We love you, MOA!" We shouted in unison.
The arena erupted into deafening cheers one last time before we finally made our way backstage. The moment we stepped behind the curtains, the roar of the crowd became muffled, replaced by the chatter of staff members rushing around us.

I let out a long breath, wiping the sweat from my forehead as the others walked beside me.

Soobin slightly shoved me.
"Woah, hyung, can you believe this was our last show? We'll finally get a break!"
He slumped back on one of the backstage benches with a tired smile, clearly relieved that the long tour was finally over.

Beomgyu immediately jumped into the conversation, letting out a tired huff as he sat onto the bench right next to soobin.
"We'll still have photoshoots, promotions and all that BS, though. so is it really a break?" Soobin's back hunched, he groaned, clearly trying not to think about that.

I sat next to Hueningkai on the bench in front of SooGyu's, and Taehyun flopped on the bench on our left. I let out a huff and shakes my head.

The air was thick with a feeling of "what are we doing now that it's over", we always find ourselves in this awkward moment after every ending show, it's not like we had all that energy left to spend on planning things, but for once, the silence was short-lived.

Hueningkai looked at his phone for a few seconds before finally speaking up.
"Guys, i'm hungry as hell can we eat something?"
He asked, pouting while dramatically rubbing his belly.

We all turned to look at him, I lightly pushed Kai's right shoulder.
"You're always hungry, Kaiya!"
The maknae gave me his famous puppy eyes.

Hueningkai's puppy eyes were honestly the death of me, I mean. when an adorable little mochi face like Kai gives puppy eyes, it always works. I can't tell if it's a curse or a blessing to have a face so cute, on one side you always get what you want, but, women usually wants a fierce and brave man. That's exactly what Hyuka isn't, I sometimes wonder if he's ever gonna get a girlfriend one day.

"Pleaseeee"
Kai plead, looking at me and the others.

"I'm kinda craving tteokbokki right now.."
I teased, letting out a sly smile at Hyuka. Already knowing how Kai would react.
Kai's eyes immediately widened.
"Ahhh! I knew Yeonjunie-hyung would agree with me!"
I let out a slightly amused chuckle.

Soobin exhaled.
"Fine, we can go but I don't want to get encircled by fans like usual, I'm too tired for that after today's show."

I always dreaded seeing this ultra-serious leader side of Soobin, he's so much better when he's all jokey and nice, but I guess as our leader he feels the responsibility to be our grounding voice, I respect that, but he's better as a friend than a leader.

Hueningkai was already on his phone looking for Korean restaurants near us. He smiled triomphantly when Soobin gave in.
"I found this restaurant it's not too far away from here-"

Hueningkai was cut off.

"I'm not coming." Taehyun blurted out of the blue, catching the others and I off guard.
He had stayed silent since we got backstage. I leaned over slightly and saw Taehyun sprawled on the bench left of us.
