A/N this Fanfiction is in honor of teen girls realizing that Cedric Diggory would be a better Boyfriend than Draco Malfoy.
English isnt my first language so sorry if some stuff doesn't make sense.
Reader will be reffered to as Y/N. I've been in the trenches.
Y/N POV
Being back at Hogwarts meant dealing with the same judgmental looks from students of other houses simply for being a Slytherin. But for Y/N, it was even worse.
She wasn't just a Slytherin, she was also Draco Malfoy's girlfriend.
The moment people saw her walking beside him, they already had an opinion. They assumed they knew everything about her relationship, everything about Draco, and everything about the person he really was. To them, he was arrogant, cruel, and exactly what they expected from a Malfoy.
But Y/N knew better.
Draco wasn't the person everyone made him out to be.
She knew he could be difficult, that he had a habit of letting his pride get in the way and saying things he didn't always mean when he was angry. Draco wasn't perfect, but that didn't make him the cruel person everyone claimed he was. He just had trouble expressing himself in the way society expected him to, and sometimes his words came out harsher than he intended.
The problem was that nobody ever bothered to look beyond that.
Everyone saw Draco Malfoy as nothing more than a spoiled Slytherin who thought he was better than everyone else. They saw his name, his wealth, and his confidence, and they decided they already knew exactly who he was. Especially Harry Potter and his friends.
Ever since their first year, they had treated Draco like he was the villain in their story. They were always ready to judge him, always ready to assume the worst, and they never seemed to acknowledge the times they were the ones who started something first.
They had gone as far as casting horrible spells on him and then acting like Draco was the problem when he defended himself. The nerve of those Gryffindors. They were so quick to point fingers, so quick to call him a bully, while completely ignoring everything they had done to him.
And maybe that was why Y/N never listened when people told her she deserved better.
Because they didn't know Draco the way she did.
They didn't know the person she fell in love with.
"Hey, Y/N! Don't ignore me." a voice called out behind her.
She turned around to see her Boyfriend frowing.
"Oh, i'm so sorry i couldn't hear-" she began. But Draco cut her off with annoyed wave of his hand.
"Whatever, just shut up and carry my bags." he said irritated.
Y/N bit her lips and nodded taking his bags. He surely didn't intend to be rude. He was probably just tired. It was Y/N's fault. She should have noticed that he was in a bad mood.
"Did you do the homework Proffessor Mcgonagall assigned?" Draco asked suddenly.
Y/N nodded proudly "Yup, I got 'em done in the first week-" Draco cut in again.
"Give your Essay to me. I didn't do mine and i don't feel like copying." he demanded.
Y/N hesitated. She would land in huge trouble if she didn't have her Essay.
Draco, now impatient snapped in disbelif. "Are you seriously not going to give it to me? You would let me be humiliated infront of everyone?"
He was right, what was Y/N thinking being so selfish? He very obviously needed it more than her. She murmered a quick apology and handed over her Essay.
