Chapter 1: How I Ended up In A Love Simulator Game
1st person
I come back to my lonely apartment after my classes. I'm tired. I look around my apartment. It's tiny. With the kitchen and the living room connected. There was two doors opposite from each other. One is my bedroom and another is the bathroom.
I've already eaten some Chinese food so I'm full. I drop my keys on the counter and went to take a shower. After my shower, I changed into comfy pjs.
Then I go inside my bedroom and sit at my desk. Normally, I would be doing some sort of assignment the professors sent me. But I'm tried so I decided to play my favorite love simulator game: Charming Connections. I love simulator games, especially love simulator games because my love life sucks.
Ever since I was 6, every time I confess to someone or hint that I like them. They either ghost me or laugh at me. So, my whole love life, I've been chasing after people. I know it sounds retarded because I'm 19 years old! But I stopped after a while. All I want is for someone to fall in love with me, not the opposite. In love simulator games, that's what the love interests do. They fall in love with the player, not the other way around.
Anyways, I opened my laptop and opened the Charming Connections game. The reason why Charming Connections is my favorite is because the world is filled with people who have powers. Elemental superpowers, to be exact. Of course, the player chooses which superpower they can have: Fire, Ice, Water, Dark, Light, Earth, and Air.
It's really fun playing Charming Connections. It's like Doki Doki Literature Club (DDLC), expect there's no yanderes and there's different endings. Not that I don't mind yanderes but I find them to be huge red flags.
After playing a couple of rounds, I started yawning. I knew I needed sleep. I closed the game and shut my laptop off. I glanced at my clock on my night stand. It's 11:34 pm. I snuggled into bed and drifted off to sleep.
...
My eyes flattered opened. It was dark. Too dark. I jerked up. I wasn't in my bed anymore. I was lying on a black floor in a black void of sort. I quickly got up and looked around. Then I looked down. I'm still in my pjs...am I in a dream then?
Suddenly, bold letters appeared in front of me along with a ping.
["Hello"]
Uhh..what!?
"Hi?" I answered back stupidly. "Um..where am I?"
["It's complicated. This is a part of space and time that is only accessible to you"]
"Okay...? Then who are you?"
["I'm not a person. I'm a system. I am accessible to you and you only. Other people can't communicate with me the way you do. I'm only here to guide you through things and make sure you complete your tasks"]
