Sunkissed with You in Malibu

Chapter 1

 I get out of my cab and let the breezy California air take me in, letting it blow my hair around my face until I finally give up and put it into a lose ponytail. Even though I hate California I can't deny it isn't gorgeous, well at least the giant, 3 story brick house that looks like it was built in the 80s is. It's surrounded by acres of land, a giant pool with a giant hot tub attached to it,  a sand volleyball court, a lake, multiple ponds, and, a pickleball and tennis court. 

    The wedding will be here and so will the next 30 days of my life. Normally if I was just a regular guest I would get here 3 days before maybe a week before but that's stretching it. Since the bride- to be is my best friend, so that puts me in as the maid of honor. When she told me the  would be coming a month early and living with the grooms party for that month as well, I think shock hit me so hard I just stood straight not moving muscle with my mouth open as wide as I think humanly possible. 

 But that was over 3 months ago since then, we've had a bridal shower, tasted the cakes, bought and ice sculpture ( Yes, I know an ice sculpture), and of course bought our dresses, and tried them on.

  " Ellie you're here." Olivia squeals my best friend and bride to be. She has her curly vibrant red hair is a messy bun and an adorable off the shocker green top, with light blue short jean shorts. 

" Wouldn't miss it for the world we have been planning your wedding since we were eight, plus I'm the maid of honor so it wouldn't be very good if I didn't show up." I say with a big open mouthed smile, I barely smile so joyfully, only with Olivia

" Not what I meant smart ass, and you know it' but anyways, you look so good are you sure you just walked out of an airplane?" She asked with real delight read all over her face that you could see from the other side of California, as she glances at me. She sees my silky dark brown hair with my tan body and blue tank top with hibiscuses and white cotton shorts.

 " Yes I'm sure mom." I reply with a snarky grin

" Anyways, you beat James, so we're just waiting for him now, also by the way James is an excellent partner for wedding games, he and Daniel had played assassin together before and James got 12 kills in the spam of 5 days." She says with a wink and a loo saying he's probably ten too.

" Olivia, we've talked about this I'm not looking and, or trying to have any love interest this month." I say in a grown with are you kidding me written all over my face. 

" I know, I'm just looking out for you because you need something interesting this summer and I know I sound like your mom, which reminds me please tell her that she is more than welcome to come to the wedding ceremony early for some photos and of course your dad, and your brother and sister there like my second family." Olivia stats, with satisfaction written all over her face, I don't know why though

" Will do, can we go inside now it's really hot." I say with sweat dripping into my eyes.

" Oh, yea, come let me show you to your room." Olivia stats, with her makeup starting to drip off her face, how is she so used to this?

We walk through the house, she gives me a mini house tour careful to only show the rooms that are on our way to my room, " You know I gave you one of the biggest rooms because your my favorite." Olivia stats with a little grin on her face

" More than Daniel?" I ask with a mischievous grin written all over my face, I tuck back a lose strand and continue haling my 2 big suitcases up the stairs.

After what feels like forever of walking, we finally make it to my room which just so happens to be right next to James, great. Olivia has already put a sign and title on each if the names and with an apologetic look on her face explains how me and James are going to have to share a bathroom, even greater.

" I'm really sorry about you having to share a bathroom, but since you are so close to each other it just makes sense for you to be partners." she says very energetically like she just told me I'm getting a puppy. 

after she helps me bring up the rest of my bags that I left in the kitchen she leaves and tells me to take a shower and 'put on something nice' because when James gets here were going to a nice Italian restaurant.
