I knew I wasn't meant to fit in. I always tried but life always Spat in my face every chance it got.
Shaking my head, I proceed down the large walk way, stairing at the familiar walkway I have graced for the past five years.
This is it. The final before life starts, seven more months and I'll be gone.
" hey valentina -" my thoughts are cut off by my best friends Voice.
I smile at her " heyyy where's lora and rosa" hugging her tightly. We proceed walking towards our classroom.
" not Sure where the girls are but probably hang over from brians party last night" avoiding my eyes she continues" do you think we get to hamgout outside School ?" She looks somewhat annoyed but quickly hides her expression.
" I would love to, but-" she cuts me off before I finish my sentence
" my parents are strict " she laughs at my excuse" Your parents are dictators, sorry if that sounds insensitive"
I stay silent.
Accustomed to this I shrug my shoulders as we settle in our classroom. Its silent reading, my favourite moment at School.
Opening my novel, I cant help visualise my life without restrictions. Would I be as sneaky? Would I be less dependant on people?
The day drags on with me faking my smile.
My friends discuss the Concert they are attending on saturday, they don't bother envolving me.
"Are you ever going to stand up for yourself ?"
I'm pulled into the conversation as my best friend Gia Asks me.
" I don't know what you mean" she looks at me intently.
" look you have to live your life. Valentina we have been best friends 12 years and I haven't got a chance to hang out with you outside school" she takes a sip of her drink " maybe I could talk to your parents? Look I don't want you to feel left out, you Will be the only senior not attending"
I look at my hands, its true since I can remember I have never been out with friends.I'm sixteen and my planned routine was class monday to Sunday only time I have is sunday during Church I walk around relishing the only sense of freedom even if its for 4 hours.
I look at my friends faces, my mind made up .
" I'll ask my mum"
