There was a boy in our class.
Pale skin. Messy black hair. Dark circles under his eyes that made him look almost... vampire-like.
He spent every lesson writing in the same worn-out notebook. Sometimes he sketched strange creatures. Other times, he wrote poems.
At least, I thought they were poems.
The few times I happened to walk past his desk, I caught words like death, flowers, goodbye... things that didn't really belong in a classroom.
His name was Gerard Way.
No one ever picked him for group projects.
No one invited him to lunch.
No one really talked to him.
Not because he was rude.
Just... because he always felt a little different.
Like he was watching everyone instead of living alongside them.
And somehow, Gerard always noticed things before anyone else did.
He knew when Nancy was about to throw one of her dramatic fits, letting out the smallest sigh just seconds before the classroom exploded into chaos.
