Forget Me Not

Old and New Promises.

Olruggio watched as Qifrey's right eye started to grow silverwood branches. His eyes widen in shock.

"Qifrey! What's going on with your eye?!" He said shouting at the other male.

Qifrey had become at peace. Which he shouldn't have. The seed was starting to sprout in his right eye.

"You mustn't remember, Olly," He said as he pulled out a Memory Erasure that was hidden in the flap of his hat, the only form of forbidden magic some witches were allowed to use, "I'm sorry."

He places his hat onto Olruggio. He started to realize what was going on. He tosses the hat off of himself.

"No, Qifrey!" He shouted at the other gripping at his shoulders, "Tell me! What's going on with your eyeball!"

Qifrey's eye widens, what does this man think he's doing?

"What are you doing, Olruggio!" He shouted, but his voice was shaky, like he was scared, "you want to know? You've known before! I've had to do this thousands of times before because I've felt too comfortable and peaceful around YOU! If I get too at peace or feel joy the seed will grow in my eye and I'll become a tree and die!"

Olruggio tears up at that, "y..you're joking."

"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I AM, OLLY."

"No, it doesn't but that doesn't explain shit! Is there a way to get rid of it? Is there a way to pluck it out or just..something?!" Olruggio shouted, almost desperate, "let me help you for once in your stubborn life!"

"YOU HAVE!" Qifrey snapped, "We made a promise! When we were just apprentices. You saw what had happened, that I had to have my memories erased just to calm it! You said "my memory for yours!" I didn't want to..but every single time it happened it filled me with guilt and regret every time it happened! That's what I needed! I needed that constant pain so I wouldn't DIE! We traded our tassels for it. Yours used to be mine, and mine used to be yours."

Olruggio started crying, "I..didn't know, Qi..I'm so sorry! How did this even happen?!"

"The brimmed caps happened."

Qifrey went on and explained everything that happened. He was terrified even remembering, and that helped.

"We will find a way to remove it, I promise," Olruggio said, "and don't fight me on it."

"But what if there isn't a way?"

"Then we can keep going with our original promise."

Then, they heard a little knock on the door.

"Come in?" Qifrey says, trying to act completely normal.

Then, Coco walks in, and looks up at the two of them with those innocent light green eyes.

"Master Qifrey? Were you and Master Olruggio fighting?" She said fidgeting with her little hands, "I heard yelling!"

"Oh my dear Coco, there's nothing to be worried about, okay?" Qifrey said gently, "Just go back to the others, we'll be down there in a few."

She nodded and then scurried off back with the other girls. Qifrey looks back at Olruggio, his blue eye shining in the light.

"You better not tell anyone about this, okay?" He said to him, pointing a finger at the other.

"My lips are sealed," he said mimicking a zipper being shut over his mouth.

The next day, the two of them did an awful ton of research, Qifrey was now practically laying ontop of a table, while Olruggio laid on the floor with books all around him.

"How is there nothing on this here.." Olruggio said.

"I guess we will have to go back to our promise," Qifrey said grabbing the sigil.

"Will you stop that, Qifrey! We can't give up! Maybe we will have to go to the great hall.." Olruggio said putting a hand on his chin, "we could just say we need to pick up some books for the girls, or something like that."

"Would they even be okay being alone for such a long time?" Qifrey said, a bit nervous.

"Well they should be fine, but the more you over think about it, the more stressed you'll get..isn't that what you need?"

"I guess so..you might be smart after all." Qifrey says jokingly.

"QIFREY!"

Hii! I am very excited to start writing this! I know it might be a touch confusing because there is not much information on the silverwood seed, so I'm just going with the flow. Plus this is just a fanfiction, so it's not THAT big of an issue lowkey if I just do things kind of my way.

I wrote this cause I am very sad abt Qifrey and Olruggio 💔

Anyway let me know if there's anything wrong in here or if it's not accurate enough! It is my intention to try and stay true to their personalities (with my own twists on how they would react to certain things!)
