Let's start at the beginning.

The very beginning.

Chloe is six years old. By herself, she resides on Amahara. Amahara is a small island along the seas of East Blue, which is one of the four quadrants in the Grand Line.

The Grand Line is a pirate's graveyard. Chloe learned about the world through books. A whole abandoned library in some bunker, when the rest of the village is destroyed.

No human soul, nor animal, live on this island. Not anymore. Chloe got to Amahara when she was three years old. Living by herself.

It's not bad. It's just her... sickness. Don't get it twisted. It's not physical. But mental. You'll see why in a minute.

Chloe camps in an old shed along the outskirts of an old cornfield. She is shivering under a torn quilt. Many people left Amahara when it got rough. That's why all homes looked messy, items left behind.

It makes her sad.

Chloe has chocolate brown hair, midnight blue irises, light fair skin, and a small form. She has an old thin scar across her forehead. She wears a faded cardigan sweater with colors of pink and turquoise over a pair of dark grey shorts.

Chloe would leave. If her boat wasn't destroyed. There's not much to look at, anyway. Chloe gives up on sleeping. Slowly, did she sit up.

Chloe walks out the entryway, lacking a door. The trees are tall and dry. Her dull eyes settle on something.

No one but her can see horrible visions like this. Slaughtered bodies of men, women, and children are strayed everywhere. Chloe slowly walks past and pretends to be unfazed.

Until she sees a teenage boy, around sixteen years old, near a stump. He's in a sitting position, laceration in the skull, dark green eyes dull with no life. Chloe trembles as her lips turn to a thin line.

The boy's messy, hazel brown hair is visible, and it is matted with crimson. Chloe's eyes are wide, and sting with tears. Finally, when closing her vision for a moment, the bodies are gone.

Chloe lets out a huge sniff and wipes her nose. She grabs a small bucket near the shed she slept in. Just to get some water. Chloe walks along and tries to focus on something else. Being positive matters!

Until she pauses in her stride. Her bare feet hits dirt. The stream is occupied by a dying creature. A small rabbit. Chloe shivers as she slowly approaches the poor thing. Thank goodness it went still before she can get closer. She can't stand to eat it. She can't even boil water. All she's eaten is fruit.

Chloe backs up quickly. She hears snapping of twigs, and her eyes go wide. With a small stick in both hands, Chloe prepares to strike. She whacks a teenage boy right in the melon.

Obviously, it hurt. Chloe gasps and stumbles in fright at his loud scream. He had a scratchy tone to his voice. He has tan skin, dark brown irises squeezed shut, a scar under his left eye, and shaggy black hair. He wears a sleeveless red shirt all buttoned up as well as a pair of denim blue shorts cuffed at the knees with fuzz. He also has on a pair of straw sandals. He dons a straw hat on the crown of his head with a red ribbon.

The red mark is visible on his forehead. He did not stop cursing and rolling around with both hands slapped to the mark.

"Ow! Ow! Dammit! OW!" Monkey D. Luffy screeches at the top of his lungs. In his eyes, he was attacked by a little psycho.

Chloe felt terrified as well as a smidgen of guilt. Chloe shakes her head and prepares to hit him again. Until another stranger appears, looking nineteen.

He has tanned skin, dark and cold irises, and slight muscle to his arms. He also has cropped green hair with sideburns. He dons three thin gold earrings on his left earlobe. He wears a cream-colored shirt with short sleeves, a dark green cloth around the left bicep, a green belly band with vertical lines, dark baggy pants, and black boots. He owns a trio of katanas attached to his right side. Two scabbards are pitch black and the third white. Each handle has a unique pattern and color.

Roronoa Zoro. Though she didn't know him. Zoro asks Luffy, "You alright?"

"No! Someone hit me with something sharp!" Luffy groans from the dirt.

"Bet it's her." Zoro sets his cold stare on Chloe, and she backs up more until her heels nearly touch the stream. "What? I don't bite."

"How do I know you don't?" Chloe spoke up with a forced hiss. She crosses her arms, "You two are strangers."

"My face..." Luffy whines as he gets to his feet. He shakes his head like a dog shaking water from its fur. When getting over the agony done on his head, he sees Chloe more clearly and then cackles.

This confuses her greatly. Honestly, she expected him to be angry at her. Even hit her. All she got from him was, "You're good at swinging like that! I thought I was gonna die!"

He sure looked happy. This caused her to run away as fast as she can.

Zoro could only say, "Huh." Not like he cares, but he's hungry. They haven't had food because his dumbass of a captain ate the rations they gathered from that Marine Base.

Lucky day it is.
