The night couldn't have gone any worse for Minato and Kushina. The ninetails was pulled from her after she'd just given birth to her son naruto.
Now she'd been impaled by the ninetails claw to save her son's life. But she was too stubborn to die. She didn't want her son to grow up never knowing his parents or his heritage with the village.
She'd remembered a time when on a mission she'd come across something strange. It took possession of her.
But she was a jinchuriki and somehow the ninetails and the new entity got along. This entity called itself venom.
A symbiote that bonds to a host for survival. To which Kushina wanted to do. Survive for her son to raise him.
And so. She'd called on the symbiote to give her power to survive and seal the ninetails into her son naruto.
Which she'd done successfully at the cost of her husband's life when she'd pulled it into Naruto and used the same uzumaki seal she'd once had herself.
And so. With Minato dead.
Kushina now a single mother.
And the village rebuilding.
She'd told Hiruzen that she'd take up the mantle of hokage so he wouldn't have to.
Naruto's life was going to change.
But how greatly remained to be seen.
One thing was certain though.
Naruto wasn't going to be the parentless dead last idiot of the academy.
Nor would he be seen as the village pariah either. With his mother's guidance and Tsunade and Jiraiya remaining in the village per her orders as hokage to watch her son.
The uchiha's revolt wouldn't happen.
The uchiha's acknowledged Kushina as hokage. Especially mikoto her best friend. So, because of this. Naruto lived a normal life never knowing what he held.
Kushina felt that when he was old enough. She'd tell him the full story.
The full story of what truly happened the night he was born and how he was destined for greatness as a future shinobi. How he was very special.
And how he had a gift nobody else did.
A very unique and powerful gift.
What that gift was, Naruto would eventually find out for himself.
