The Journey To The Ground

Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of the door opening and the bright light quickly lighting up the room. I put my hand above my eyes, covering the light from shining in my eyes. After a minute of adjusting my eyes to the light, I quickly got up and saw two soldiers walking into the room.

"Prisoner 326, face the wall...hold out your right arm," one of them said as they slowly walked towards me. I didn't move and just put my arm out for them. Once they put a wrist band on my right arm, they pulled me out of my room. When we walked out, I was looking around to see that the other prisoners were also being pulled out of their rooms.

"PRISOMER 319" one of the guards yelled. I looked over to see what was going on, and there was a blond girl who was trying to get away from the guards. The blone was looking around, and for a moment, we connected eyes until someone else caught her attention. Before I could see who it was, the guard who had me pulled me away.

As we were walking, I kept looking around. It took us about 5 minutes until we turned a corner, and there was a line of the teen/kids. The guards who had me pushed my forward towards the line, which caused me to stumble into a brunette girl.

"You know you didn't have to push me jackass!" I yelled out as the guard walked away. I face the girl. "I'm sorry for that," I said as I made she the girl was alright. She nods her head. "Yeah. I'm ok, are you?" She asked. I gave her a small smile. "Definitely okay, if you mean by if I'm hurt than yeah I'm good but emotionally?.. meh," I let out as I leaned against the wall, waiting for whatever was happening.

I looked around to see more of us standing in a line. "So what do you think is happening?" I asked the girl as I kept looking around for a moment longer. "I'm not sure." She said softy. I looked over at the girl to see her staring at me, but then quickly looked away. "Hmm... must be big because only the important people are here... Anyway, I'm Y/N. Y/N Y/L/N, " I say with a small smile as I hold out my hand for her. "Octavia." She said as she looked at my hand.

"Ok," I mumbled as I put my hand down. I look over to the front to see that the guards are taking people into something that I couldn't see properly. The line was moving slowly.

"So why are you here?" Octavia asked out of nowhere. I looked over at her. "Nothing really bad, i just got into a lot of fights with the guards. Like that guy who pushed me into you earlier.. he's just mad that I won that fight and not him." I smiled.

The guards took us into a ship one by one to make sure that we dont escape. When it was my turn, the guard that was with me told me to move up to the second floor. I sat down where the guard told me to sit. I watched as everyone else was settling in. She smirks as she looks over at me. "Good, those privileged pricks desverds it," she said. We moved up slowly.

"Could I ask you why you're here?" I asked. I didn't want to push her to tell me. She looks away as she thinks. I stay quiet, waiting for her. "For being born," she said softly. I quickly look over at her. "That's not right. You shouldn't have been locked up for that. You had no control over that." I let out. She nodded her head in agreement. "Well fuck them because your actually cool so" I said as I move up again. We got closer to the front. The girl smiled at me as she mumbled a shy thanks.

We finally got to the front, and a guard came up to Octavia and roughly grabbed her arm. I quickly stepped forward and pushed him off of her. "Woah, you don't have to grab her like that." I said with anger. The guard stumbled back a little before catching his balance again. He got up close so he was in my face. "I'll grab her as I want you little shit." He growled out." I smirked at him. "Aww, are you still mad that I beat you in that fight? Do you want me to go get your blanky for you?" I taunt him.

He suddenly grabbed my shirt and shoved me to the wall hard. I grabbed his hand and twisted it, and kicked him off of me. I stepped forward and got ready to push him. He looked up at me with pure hatred and took out his shock batons, and turned it on. He swung at me, which I dodged it and kicked it out of his hand. I then punched him in the face. He felt to the ground with a groan. I smirk as I grab his shock batons from the ground and turn it off. I walked up to him and threw it at him. "That's two to one, my guy.. I would call you mommy, but I got somewhere to be soo have fun laying there. Loser." I look up to see the other guards and chancellor Jaha watching.

"What he deserved it," I let out as I faced Octavia, who was smirking at me. "Come on," I smiled. I walked inside and looked around. "Where are we?" Octavia asked as she looked around. "We're on a ship.. must be our lucky day. Come on, let's go up, " I say, pointing at the ladder. *I walked over and started to climb up with Octavia behind me.

"Pick a spot, I'll follow you," I watch her look around, and when she chooses the spot, I follow her, and we both get buckled in. We both watch the others get in their spots and the guards, making sure that everyone is buckled in. Once everyone was in and all ready to go, we could hear the ship detached from the ark. I was looking around and saw everyone that was on this level. I saw that same blond girl from earlier. She was still out cold.

A couple of minutes later, she finally woke up. She looks around, then she turns to look at someone, and she looks pissed. I'm guessing it was because of the person that was next to her.

There was a loud noise again but the noise was telling us that we had entered the earth atmosphere. Everything was shaking like crazy. I'm not going to lie, but I thought we were going to die.

The tv turned on. It was the chancellor. "prisoners of the ark, we now know that you've been giving a second chance and as your chance I hope you see this is a chance not for you but for all of us, for men kind it self we don't have any idea of whats waiting for you down there, if the odds of survival..." I stopped listening after that.

This guy named Finn decided it was a smart idea to get out of his seat. Some people were cheering him on, but some people aren't. I think he was just trying to show off. I watch him slowly move towards the blond. Two other boys followed his step, "Hey, stay in your seats it's not safe," the blond girl said. But they didn't listen to her.

Everyone else was cheering them on. I looked over at Octavia to see her smile at them. Out of nowhere, the three boys flew and hit the wall really hard. The ship jerked a couple of times. I felt a hand grab onto mine. I looked over to see Octavia nervously look around. I squeezed her hand to tell her that it was okay.

The sound of the machine stops working right after that. Everybody started to take their seatbelts off as quickly as they could, and so did I. Everyone started to head down the ladder that led to the first floor. Octavia and I followed them down.

This dark-haired boy who was wearing a guard uniform was telling us to backup. He was about to open the door. But before he could pull the lever, the blond girl said something about it's not being safe as she was climbing down the ladder. She walked over to him.

They were having a small argument when Octavia
spoke up as she climbed down the ladder. "Bellamy?," the girl asked as she quickly moved through the crowd. She hugged Bellamy for a second or two until the blond girl said something. "Where your wristband," she asks, Bellamy. "Do you mind? I haven't seen my brother in a year,"Octavia said as she looked at the blond girl with irritation.

"Nobody has a brother," some kids yelled out. "Wait, that's Octavia Blake, thats the girl that they found hinden under the floor," another person said. Octavia was about to attack them when her brother stopped her before she could. Her brother said something to her but I couldn't make it out.

Bellamy opened the door to the dropship. It was bright at first, but my eyes adjusted quickly. Everyone just stood there looking out, not daring to move just yet. Octavia slowly made her way outside as she looked around. she waited a second before throwing her hands up in the air "We're back bitches!" she yelled. With that being said, everyone started running out and cheering about being free and on the ground.
