Rantaro was finally coming to a halt after a few hours of hiking, climbing up yet another mountain to satisfy his thirst for danger. He was a little bit of an adrenaline junkie to say the least, always hunting down a spot to simply just be free. ..Sure, there was a purpose behind his expeditions, but he's always loved traveling -- he was on a boat trip when all of this started after all. Needless to say, he was thriving.

The sun was long gone, the sky filled with stars as the wind howled all around him. Almost, just almost, muting the noise from the festivities going on in the village down below. His messy hair was blowing in the wind, clothes also whipping around as he stood on the cliff's edge gazing down at said village. It was booming down there -- music blasting, people dancing, waving around signs, little markets stretching on for what seemed like miles.. it was nice. He didn't feel caged here, although that's probably because he was outdoors.

Rantaro has never really been a homebody, he's far too spontaneous for that -- feeling trapped when he's in one place for a second too long, the time he spends in different places always differs though.. which arguably makes it worse, especially because his adventures are always on a whim, little to no planning, always somewhere new.

While admiring the view a little glimmer caught Rantaro's eye, something was shimmering in the moonlight nearby, it looked small and it was close to some rocks, so he walked along the edge of the cliff, you may think it was a little dumb of Rantaro to walk on the edge with winds like this, but curiosity kills the cat ..or something, he could never quite remember that saying. He pondered what it could be, thinking it was going to be some sort of coin -- like a penny or something similar. Though, as he got closer he realised it was way too big for that. He picked it up and rubbed it on his shirt, wiping away any dirt so he could get a better look.

It was some sort of lighter -- old for sure, and was definitely no good to use, but it was quite beautiful. Silver with engravings, worn down but you could still see all of the swirls and patterns; it must be his lucky day. He hadn't picked up anything to add to his rapidly growing trinket collection on this trip yet.. and he just found one on the ground! He carefully put it on his pocket, continuing on his little walk even though he'd already picked up what he was looking for.

Man, aren't adventures great?
