Sharp air hits my face immediately as I step onto the train platform. Great.
It's my fourth year at Hogwarts and I already know it's going to be absolute hell.

I make my way onto the train walking past the group hufflepuffs talking about quidditch and past most of the first year slytherins before finding my best friend, Theodore Nott in a train car alone with his nose in a book. Typical.

"Well well if it isnt Theo" I say smirking as I slide open the train car door, closing it behind me as I sit across from him. The train lurches as it starts moving.

"Darcelle Lestrange fancy seeing you here" he says smiling and closing his book.

"How was your summer my dear friend?" I ask leaning back.

"Quite good, lots of reading. And yours?"

"Typical as always, lots of time with my mother helping her in her store in London"

"Ah yes I always forget your mothers a muggle. Fascinating little shops they have." he says reclining back into his seat

"I have to agree with you there, Nott" I say. The conversation is abruptly cut off by the train car door opening and piercing gray eyes scan the car, unmistakably belonging to my nemesis Draco fucking Malfoy.

"Ah, I see this car is already being polluted by you" he says, his eyes rolling over me in disgust.
A moment passes as we hold unbreaking eye contact. "Better than the first years and Parkinson throwing herself at me i suppose" he mutters and quickly steps in sliding the door closed, sitting next to Theodore.

With a groan due to his arrival I look back to Theo as we continue our conversation about our summer occasionally sneaking glances at Draco, there's something behind his eyes he's looking too closely. I shove it off and label it as his typical odd behavior.

As nightfall arrives so does the train pulling into the platform and with a lurch it stops.
"Finally" I announce taking Theodore's offered hand to stand before fixing my sweater.
We exit the train Draco now off with Crabbe and Goyle complaining about 'bad company' . Thankfully he didn't say a word the rest of the ride here, the idiot was just brooding.
My train of thought gets interrupted by Theo, "I'm so excited for dinner I'm practically starved"
I nod my head in agreement "i just can't wait to get to bed" i say as we walk to the great hall.

After the announcements, the first year's sorting, and dinner we make our way to the Slytherin commons.

"Its good to be back" i say smelling the familiar air

"Watch it Lestrange" a cold voice says behind me and he brushes past me his shoulder knocking into mine, blonde hair strides in front of me to the couches followed by his usual company, Crabbe and Goyle.

"Well excuse you" I say sarcastically walking away towards the stairs to the rooms.
I exchange goodnights with Theo and a couple other friends before retreating behind the closed door of my room.

Showering and changing into my pjs I cant stop thinking of the way Draco was looking at me on the train. It's nothing right? He was just being arrogant, I'm sure. But I can't fully convince myself as I pull the covers over my shoulders and turn the light out, and with that I drift off.
