(HUGE DISCLAIMER: I am completely rewriting this fanfic; this is a revamp. I didn't like how this turned out, and I was exhausted and burnt out from simply writing the chapters. That's why I deleted it; I'm completely sorry guys.)

A dim room lit up in the distance, seemingly beautiful from a short, quick glance. The outside of the room was a dark starry night, bright but not bright enough from a short distance. A tall person is holding a walkie talkie, waiting for a response. The third party they work for and look up to isn't picking up. Callie, or the tall person, was supposed to meet up with their coworker who would help them gain and receive information as a messenger. They glance at a mirror faced down in the middle of the alleyway. Callie teleports into the hallway and puts up the mirror which was foggy. They had to smudge the mirror a bit to see themself clearly.

They look at their sharp, black suit along with their blonde hair tied back into a ponytail. Callie fixes their bangs while looking at their eyes, bold and... mesmerizing. They stare at themself one last time before walking away from the mirror. It felt silly to them that they had to wait for their coworker in a sketchy alleyway. I mean who would want to meet up with their coworker in a place like this?

"This feels so silly..." Callie mutters, pulling out their coolgui and looking at the time. 3:36 AM. Usually, if they did want to meet up, then it would've been sometime much easier, NOT in the middle of the night.

"Yo Callie!" Their coworker called out. Callie immediately switched off their coolgui and turned towards the noise. They walked over towards the noise, relieved that their coworker is finally here because of Callie waiting for so long.

"Hi, you're finally here, what took you so long?" Callie asked them.

"Sorry, it took me a little while to get here." Their coworker responded back. She pulled some files out of her bag and gave them to Callie. Now, their coworker has helped them and was the one who helped Callie with their information. She's a big part of Callie's job. Without her, it would be harder for Callie to find and use their information.

"It's alright, I get it." Callie remarks, taking the files from them and skims through said files. The files in question were about this... parasite.

"A rogue paradox? That's what the parasite is called?" Callie realized. They continue to read the info given to them. The parasite in called Rogue Paradox and the parasite latches onto universes and can kill and infect people in less than a nanosecond. To prevent this from happening, people put up these meetings to get people from six universes to work together to get rid of this parasite together.

"So how these meetings would run is you talk to the people who have this parasite and make them work together through meetings." Their coworker explained to Callie.

"And you guys thought that I was the best candidate for these meetings?" Callie added onto the conversation. They were curious and had a lot of questions about the meetings. Callie wanted to know everything about how these meetings work. When Callie's curious about a certain topic, they would try their best to observe and figure everything about said topic.

"Yes, pretty much. You're more powerful than us, influential, and you easily adapt to a variety of people in different situations. You also know a lot more than me and everyone else." Their coworker continues her explanation. Callie understands and nods. They didn't know about the meetings in advance, but they would prefer knowing said thing earlier.

"Oh, yea right!" Callie said enthusiastically.

"It's kinda like show hosting but for a completely different reason you know?"

"So informing people about Rogue Paradox and helping them get rid of this parasite?" Callie is a show host, they used to have their own object show, they had a secret identity and their contestants would call them Tophat. Their actual show started in 2021, but it unfortunately ended in 2022. After the show, they started to host other shows outside of their own show too.

"Yea pretty much." Their coworker walks to a small, secluded building under the night sky. Callie followed close by. The building in question is a three-story abandoned building with most of the lights are torn down and broken. The hallways are dark, just like the night sky outside; eerie, mysterious, and defecating. Callie looked at their coworker, curious on whether their coworker intended to talk to them more or not.

"Could I explain something to you?" Callie whispered to their coworker, somewhat curious.

"Hmm, sure." Their coworker adjusts her hair into a small bun, keeping their gaze onto Callie.

"Well, I'm kind of confused on the six universes part. Like, what if the parasite in one of the universes eventually goes away? Is there another universe to replace the previous one?" Callie explains to her. She finishes tying her hair up and responds with,

"One of the universes might have the parasite gone faster than the others. When this happens, usually there would be another universe to replace the old one. It's rare for there to be no universe for the replacement." She continues to explain to Callie, her accent more prominent through her explanation.

"Ohh thanks for explaining that to me, I was confused at first." Callie reasoned to their coworker.

"No problem! We haven't talked in a while outside of work much so I'm glad we get time to talk!" She mused. It was starting to get windy outside. That small factor didn't mind to Callie. They continue talking to Reyma (that's the coworker, and yes this is how me, the author adds context into the story) and eventually the conversation between the two faded to black. Callie kept the files close to them as they skim through the paragraphs written in said files. They pull out their coolgui and mentally compare of the paragraphs to what they found online. A few minutes pass. Callie's starting to get bored and decides to finally teleport to the meeting room.

The meeting room in question is a pure white room with a strange marking on the ground. The marking in question is a circle that's divided into six pieces like a pie chart of sorts. The sections in the circle are color coordinated from red to purple clockwise, basically rainbow colors. Callie originally had this on paper before essentially creating the meeting room. The circle looked very similar to the final version. Callie doesn't complain about this. Why? Callie tried to make the meeting room, but their earlier attempts didn't work, or the rooms were either completely off or straight up off topic.

"I haven't talked to anyone outside of work ever since..." It hit Callie like a bullet train. They've been isolating themself for months because they weren't in a good mental state and the only way they're gonna talk to anyone, even if they knew them or not, this was the only way for them. To socialize. To rekindle what was left of the remaining status with their peers they used to have.

The only way they could rekindle was telling them they have a universe-destroying parasite in their universe. It truly is a hard pill to swallow. Callie wants to leave that behind currently but recently when they try to move on, this nudging feeling keeps plaguing their mind. They definitely hate it for sure.

"If the first meeting goes well, I might start to... get my confidence back in a sense." Callie's starting to feel a little bit better from their isolation, slowly and maybe surely. They close their coolgui which they haven't known it was open the whole time and looked at the circle. Is it going to get better?

(1380 words guys anyways I might post in a few days, and I might bring LMS or Little Missed Symphony back, another fanfic of mine but idrk :P)
