These hands that I used to dig dirt and stones are nothing compared to her shovel.
These endless comparisons,
How am I able to feel?
Her eyes that shines, her smile is bright,
She's like an ocean loved by everyone,
While I'm a lake that's stranded nowhere near any seas.
I'm nothing compared to her...
She has talent where I struggle to accomplish
I dig and dig until my hands are sore, her shovels are not tired, she doesn't give up.
I stood my ground and took a spoon.
I started to dig but this with confidence.

Time passes and the spoon broke,
I look at hers and her shovel is good as new.
I asked myself "my can't I be more like her?"
So I grabbed a shovel,
I dig but my hands are no longer strong.
I look down to see my hands bleeding from digging. I glance at hers her hands were smooth.
I asked myself once more "who to be more like you?".

I lowered my head,
This is defeat.
I'm no longer Eiger to stand my ground.
I took another glance at her,
I claim defeat while she stands tall on her position as victory.
