Pokemon: Roomies Kalos Adventures

Episode 1: The Journey Begins

[The Episode opens with our main character, Isabell, on the plane. The plane makes an announcement saying that they will be landing shortly in Lumiose City, a city in the Kalos Region. Isabell's eyes light up as she looks out the window. She's speechless by the landscapes of the region and lets out an audible... ]

Isabell:
Whoa.... We're almost here, this is so exciting!

[Isabell continues to look out the window as the plane finally lands in Lumiouse City. As she takes her first steps into the Kalos region, she smiles, admiring the new vibe of the region.]

Isabell:
It's time for a fresh start. Let's do this.

September 1st, Year 2026, Lumioise City...

[We cut to a montage of Isabell walking around the streets of Lumiouse. She is inspired by the buildings' architecture and is in awe of the central tower. We then see her walk down the streets, looking into the windows of shops, noticing that the fashion sense here is expensive and luxurious. We after that see her walking down the streets, and noticing all the new Pokémon the region has to offer that she hasn't seen before. She sees a lady walking her Furfrou, packs of Swalot and Gulpin's in the alleyways, and a Slurpuff munching on some macaroons. We then cut to her arriving at the entrance of the professor's lab. She sighs.]

Isabell:
I can't believe I'm actually here... I wonder what the starters in this region will be like.

[Isabella approaches the door to the professor's lab. She hesitates a little before she opens the door. As she opens the door, she is met with something terrible... Poké Balls were scattered, glass was shattered, and papers and desks were flung all over the place. Her eyes widen.]

Isabell:
The lab... It's all messed up. What... happened here?

[She hears footsteps approach from behind her. As she turns around, she sees the Professor, with a disheartened expression on his face.]

Professor Cedar:
You must be one of the trainers... I'm... sorry for the mess.

[Professor Cedar rubs the back of his neck.]

Professor Cedar:
You see... something awful happened before you arrived. Team Flare came and raided our lab.

Isabell:
Team Flare...?

[Isabell realizes this might be similar to the enemies she's faced previously in the past regions she's been to, aka Team Galactic and Team Plasma. She clenches her fist.]

Professor Cedar:
Here in my lab, we mainly research things regarding Mega Evolution. They must've taken an interest in our megastones we've kept here; we had quite the exclusive collection.

Isabell:
Mega Evolution...? I've never heard of that before...

[Professor Cedar sighs.]

Professor Cedar:
They also took all the Pokémon I planned to give to new trainers, too.

Isabell:
Shoot... is there anything I can do to help? Or anywhere else I can go to retrieve a starter from?

[Just on cue, we hear the door open to the lab. We see Catsi, another one of our main characters, enter, catching her breath. She immediately begins apologising and panicking for being late, not taking in her surroundings quite yet.]

Catsi:
I'M SO SORRY I'M LATE! OH NO... ARE ALL THE STARTERS GONE ALREADY?! HAVE I MISSED MY CHANCE TO BE THE BEST POKEMON PERFORMER AND WILL NEVER LIVE OUT MY DREAM AND INSTEAD CRY INTO MY PILLOW EVERY NIGHT AND-

[She stops panicking momentarily after realising the lab has been completely trashed. Her face softens.]

Catsi:
The lab... what happened to it...? Where are the Pokémon...?

Professor Cedar:
They've all been taken by Team Flare...

Catsi:
No... this can't be... ALL THE POKEMON ARE GONE?! WHAT WILL I DO NOW?! AND BY TEAM FLARE?! OH NO... WHAT IF THEY'RE STILL NEARBY AND-

[Professor Cedar cuts her off.]

Professor Cedar:
There's a shred of hope in this. Luckily, I left trackers on some of the starters and was able to locate 3 of them in Lumiose City. I know it's a lot to ask, but if you'd like to take the bait, you can attempt to retrieve them, and if you do, you can keep them. My son is currently out there finding them. Perhaps you can meet up with him.
