One night in the Scuttle Town of the magical Sequin Land, everything was peaceful until something fell out of the sky. A mysterious masked man with an iron backpack has swiped the red star diamond, a crucial and dangerous artifact. It seems it's up...
It was a dark night in the strange yet mystical place known to many as Sequin Land. Where monsters, magic, and mischief coexist with one another. However, little did the inhabitants of this chaotic land know that tonight things would become radically more chaotic. High above the sky, a lone shadow was seen floating high above the crashing waves below.
???: Hmmm... If latitude and longitude are correct, the next land mass should be 45 kilometers south. If I continue my current speed, I should be there in just 5 minutes. That is, of course, if nothing goes wrong.
However, the figure had no clue what lay in wait as the clouds above began to huddle together to cover the dazzling moonlight.
Meanwhile, it was a quiet night in the usually bustling Scuttle Town. This was no ordinary town, however, because it had its own guardian genie. A fiery purple-haired warrior woman with magical abilities that went by the name of-
Old Man: Shantae!

He got the name because he likes to copy all of the most interesting relics he finds.
Marching through the entrance was the town genie herself, with her lustrous purple ponytail trailing behind her.

This fiesty little fireball has defended her town (As well as the entirety of Sequin Land) time and time again with her amazing magical powers. Though some people tend to forget that she is only a half-genie and struggles to solve the problems a whole genie could solve in a snap.
Shantae: What is it now, uncle? I have to go before it rains. The rain makes my hair all frizzy. You don't want my hair to get frizzy, do you?
Mimic: Shantae, you told me you were going to help me take inventory. A little frizz won't kill you.
Shantae: No, but it will kill my hair.
Begrudgingly, the genie starts helping her uncle with various crates and boxes with relics, schematics, and small gizmos you'd forget the function for. As they were halfway done, Shantae found a small metallic square with bulbs on it.
