Sneak Peek from the book

"What are you doing with her?"

Her cold voice sent shivers down my spine as she pinned me against the wall, trapping my wrists on either side of my head.

"What right do you have to ask me?"

I gritted my teeth.

God... She has the nerve to ask me that.

Her grip on my wrists tightened.

"I... I am your..."

She couldn't utter another word.

Closing her eyes in frustration, she rested her forehead against mine.

"I am your what?" I asked, my voice laced with frustration.

She opened her eyes and looked away, still pinning me to the wall, my wrists firmly held in her grasp.

I struggled to break free, but she pushed me harder against the wall.

"What?"

My chest heaved with anger.

"I... I... Just don't be with her..."

Her familiar cold eyes bored into mine.

"...or with anyone."

Gathering every ounce of strength, I shoved her away.

She stumbled back, her eyes widening in shock.

"You lost that right over me."

I spat the words and turned away.

I walked out of the club without looking back.

A cold-hearted CEO who gave up on love finds herself drawn to her cheerful, clumsy assistant—the one person capable of reaching the heart she locked away long ago.

Some storms aren't broken by force; they soften when someone refuses to walk away.

Nia Larson.

A cold-hearted CEO.

For her, business is warfare.

One slight mistake and you hand yourself to your enemies on a silver platter.

She leads with an iron fist and a frozen heart.

Love has no place in her world.

She has been there.

She has tried.

She has failed.

She has moved on.

Never to return.

Then there is Ron.

Her assistant.

A hopeless Harry Potter fan who somehow sees Hogwarts everywhere.

Devastatingly handsome.

Hopelessly clumsy.

He talks endlessly.

She answers in single words.

He brings warmth to every room.

She brings cold and thunder.

They were never meant to belong together.

Yet neither seems able to stay away.

Some stories begin with a bet.

This one begins with a broken heart.

Perhaps even the coldest heart has its own Patronus waiting to be discovered.

Welcome to the story of Breaking Nia Larson.

Author's Note

Many of you met Nia as the girl who made terrible mistakes.

In Breaking Nia Larson, you'll meet a very different Nia—not because she becomes perfect, but because life changes people in ways nothing else can.

And then there's Ron...

He's clumsy, endlessly talkative, obsessed with Harry Potter, and somehow manages to compare almost everyone he meets to Hogwarts characters. Whether Nia appreciates his magical references is another story entirely.

I hope you'll laugh with him, argue with him, and fall in love with him just as Nia slowly does.

See you in Breaking Nia Larson.
