​Modern Fantasy AU: This story takes place in the modern world but features a dark, superpower-based society. Only 12% of the world has magic, and superhumans face extreme danger from a young age.

​Darker Themes & Past Trauma: The characters-especially the Butterfly Sisters-have went through intense, traumatic childhoods before being adopted by Gyomei. Because of this, they struggle deeply with their emotions and put up fake smiles to survive. The story explores their journey of healing, overcoming internal demons, and rediscovering how to feel.
