"Who am I?"

"You are Heron."

Heron awakes from her berth but doesn't dare to move as her mind does the actions for her. Move. Please. Ah, I am once again confined to the surface that is supposed to recharge me. She thought to herself, staring at the ceiling while her body becomes heavier than stone. However the thought of being late to her own routine awakens her joints to move off the berth. She stretches her joints out to prepare her systems for a new day in Iacon, a great place to be but it has always felt off. From the day she was forged, she thought everyone was like a relative since most of the bots around her came from the same life force. Let's just say that it was an awkward first day existing, that memory haunts her to her core. Never again would she pour in an innocent thought such as that, completely felt as if she has ruined future social interactions.

Anyway, Heron has a doctor's appointment to attend to today. It wasn't scheduled by herself but by her physicist because he claimed that during her forging process, there was an anomaly present in her processor. It was an odd thing to hear, but it really makes her think. She has tried her best to act accordingly to those around her but the occasional growl of the engines of fast moving alt modes has always put her off. Races were fun to watch at a distance, most people seemed to like races. Perhaps the issue can be fixed, there were mnemosurgeons for a reason. Though the idea felt wrong again, that is only for bigger problems such as for those who deemed to be qualified for punishment, she pondered as she strolled stiffly.

The metal below Heron's pedes, neutral under the temperature of everyone around her. She could probably just fly to the medical institute like a wing-bearing cybertronian but she likes the ground as it deteriorates the fear of falling. She flicks her wings under the colorful lights, unable to notice those who jump back at the wide wingspan she has. The building she seeks is one of standard care for the injured, the best in the city. And it's a building that she is most familiar with, for it is not the first time she has been brought over for check-ups on her external and internal behavioral systems.

"We are sorry to inform you of this, Heron." He spoke with resignation in his voice. The refining tap of the files between his hands, to keep them in line. The bot in front of Heron stared straight in the optic for any reaction at all, but she remains still. Her spark cowering in trepidation for the first time. The doctor normally doesn't act like this. Teal optics slowly glancing from side to side at the newer faces around her, this was different. This is not what usually happens during her appointments. Of course, they were easy to do. Sometimes the procedures got weirder, but who was she to question a doctor? Perhaps that might be her first mistake. "To have you live by yourself means putting others in a state of uncertainty around you. Now, I know you are a great person and I know you have done no wrong..." He paused, "But what you have cannot be fixed I'm afraid."

Herson stares at her doctor, optics darting across the room in a panic but her outward appearance remains calm as can be. She opens her mouth but nothing comes out. In a forced burst of confusion she asks with restraint, "What-- What do you mean?" It didn't make any sense at all. What could she possibly have that is unable to be cured? What could she have that nobody in Iacon could fix? Then comes the reply that had her drowning in a pit of her own mind. "It means that your malfunction is permanent. You are eligible for mnemosurgery, but I have my doubts that it would do you any good." The room appeared darker than it should, the faces had proceeded closer this time. "For now, you will be staying in a rehabilitation center for your own safety. And for ours as well. I wish you the best recovery."

And that statement has brought her to the darkest chamber of the Pit than it should, in which she will stay for years.
