The bedroom was quiet and warm as Jungkook rested his head on Taehyung's shoulder. Jungkook's doe, expressive eyes were heavy with sleep, his tattooed arm resting comfortably across the blankets.

Taehyung smiled, his expression warm and handsome. He leaned over and brushed a lock of hair away from Jungkook's forehead "you look so peaceful, my pretty ghost" Taehyung whispered, his voice low in the quiet room.

Jungkook smiled back, his expression bright. He leaned into the touch, feeling completely safe "it is just a very nice evening, Tae"

"Every evening here is nice" Taehyung said softly and reached out to hold Jungkook's hand "I never want to be anywhere else"

"Me neither" Jungkook murmured. He shifted slightly, his silver chain catching the dim light. "but I think we should head to the kitchen. I am starting to feel hungry"

Taehyung laughed softly "you..always thinking about food, pretty ghost. What are we making?"
"Sweet bread" Jungkook decided "The recipe you love."

They made their way down the stairs to the warm kitchen. The house was cozy and filled with the scent of dried flowers and old wood.

for a long time this had been their life. Taehyung had been the local baker, and Jungkook owned the small flower shop right next door.

Every morning, Jungkook would bring a fresh bouquet to the bakery just to see Taehyung. and now they shared this home together.

In the kitchen, Taehyung gathered the ingredients. He stood close behind Jungkook, guiding his movements as they began to mix the dough together.

"Just like that, keep it steady." Taehyung whispered, his hands steady over Jungkook's.
Jungkook leaned back, enjoying the quiet companionship "I like it when we bake together. Everything feels so normal."

"It is exactly how it should be, pretty ghost" Taehyung replied, a soft smile on his face "Hey, can you grab that old photo album from the shelf? the one with the handwritten recipe cards tucked inside? I want to check the measurements for the sugar."

"Of course" Jungkook stepped away and walked toward the wooden shelf.
He pulled the heavy, dusty album from its place. He opened it, expecting to find the old card they always used.

As he turned the first page, a loose, yellowed piece of paper slipped out and fluttered to the floor.

Jungkook blinked in confusion. He reached down and picked it up. The paper was thin and brittle. He looked at the date at the top; it was from ten years ago.

his eyes scanned the bold text of the headline **LOCAL BAKER KIM TAEHYUNG DIES IN ACCIDENT.**
Jungkook's heart began to race. He read the words over and over.

The article described a tragic event involving a 25-year-old baker named Kim Taehyung who had passed away ten years prior.

Jungkook's hands began to tremble *ten years ago?* but Taehyung was standing right there. He looked exactly the same as he did in the old stories. Jungkook could still feel the phantom warmth of Taehyung's hands on his own.

A sudden chill swept through the kitchen. The air felt heavy and cold as Jungkook slowly turned his head to look back at the counter.

Taehyung was still there but he wasn't mixing the dough anymore. he was standing perfectly still. He was watching Jungkook with a dark, knowing expression
