You couldn't help but notice the way Felix's muscles flexed as he dug into the sand. He looked identical to Berry, Christopher's dog, as Felix used his hands next to Berry's paws to scoop out handfuls of sand haphazardly. The wind blew then, the clouds of sand in the air headed straight towards you. You covered your eyes with your own hand from the sun before, but now it was to avoid getting sand in your eyes as you called out to Felix, scolding him lightly as you groaned, "Felix! What are you doing?"

Felix looked up at you, completely oblivious to the fact that sand was blowing your way. You were leaning up on your elbows on a yellow beach towel he set out for you, your skin shining with sunscreen. He smiled sheepishly, knowing then what he had done wrong, but also reveling in how gorgeous you looked sun-kissed and annoyed in front of him.

However, the bass in his laughter, followed by his voice, melted your frustration as he responded, "I'm sorry, babe. I'm looking for sand crabs with Berry. Are you okay?"

"Well, I can still see, so that has to count for something," You grumbled as Felix tried to hide behind a fit of laughter as his lips pressed together.

"Oh, come on, Y/N. The sand crabs will do more damage to you then Felix ever could with sand," Christopher defended his best friend as he leaned over Felix's shoulder to look at you, intruding into the conversation purposely, "Speaking of crabs, did you guys want anything from the car? I was going to run back for the cooler."

"I'm good, mate, thank you though," Felix answered as he continued digging. Christopher stood up, making his way past you.

"I'm good, too, thanks," You smiled brightly up at Chris as he walked away.

"Alright, I'll be back. Oh, I'll grab my speaker, too!"

"Oh, thank god! I love you, Chris!" You shouted enthusiastically behind you.

You're excited then to listen to music when Chris comes back with the food and music speaker. The three of you had ventured out to a quiet part of the Australian coast where the small hike through the treeline and brush deterred other beachgoers from joining you. The adventure was a break for all of you that day after a hard work week in your respective fields. Christopher, Felix's best friend, offered the beach plans last minute to give Berry some time to play, too.

"Come on, Berry! Come on!" Christopher called out to Berry, his dog, whose head snapped towards him. She didn't move until Chris shouted her name again, bounding over in excited strides to follow her brother on whatever adventure he was going on.

"What about me?" Felix's bottom lip was pushed out in a pout as Chris and Berry walked towards the treeline, "I'm your boyfriend."

"And because you're my boyfriend, I will always love you," You responded sweetly before bitterly adding, "Even though you threw sand in my eyes."

"Here, let me make it better then," Felix crawled his way to you, leaving the hole he dug with Berry behind, and leaned over you as he pressed quick kisses to your forehead. He kissed your eyelids next as you squinted them closed against his attack, "There. Is the sand gone?"

"Mmm... I don't think so," You teased. Felix's head tilted to the side in question as you smiled mischievously.

"I think I have sand right... here," Your voice enunciated every word as you used your thumb to pull Felix's bottom lip down slightly before pulling him toward you into a kiss.

Felix responded immediately, laying you fully back on the beach towel now as your arms wrapped around him, your hands sifting through his sun-blonde hair. He tasted faintly of mint from the gum he was chewing earlier on the ride to the beach, and he smelled like the sunblock he put on his face. You melted into him as if he were the sun himself, arching into his touch as he tilted your head to gain better access to your neck as his lips trailed down your jaw.
