"ten minutes till you're on Beth." the sound of my managers voice through the wooden door of my dressing room i had just finished getting ready my hair and makeup perfectly done the scent of hairspray filling up the room

"thanks lewis be out in a sec." i replied the sound of my playlist in the background playing 'playing half naked and almost famous' by machine gun kelly, a song i had probably listened to more times than i can count but we don't need to get into that right now i have a show to put on.

i grab a water bottle from the mini fridge provided by the venue and head out backstage.

"how are you feeling, last stop on your first world tour!" lewis hypes me up like he always did before every show.

"nervous as always." i admit truthfully i could feel myself shake with anxiety.

"you've got this okay, closing night give it your all." lewis comforts me i nod my head in response as its almost time for me to head on stage.

the chants echoing through the venue.

"Beth"
"Beth"
"Beth"

the venues i played in held roughly one thousand people to some artists it was nothing but to me. it's everything.

"time to shine Beth" Lewis gives me a pat on the back and the opening chords signal my cue to head on stage

i took one deep breath in trying to calm the nerves in my chest no matter how many times i did this, that feeling never went away, and I'm not sure i wanted it to either.

"whats up new york! some how you sold this place out for me, so no pressure on me for a great show tonight" i laigh the crowd cheered in response

"but seriously this is closing night on my first world tour its great to be home, you guys mean the world to me without you all i wouldn't be here right now and I'm not ready for it to end, so can you make tonight impossible to forget?" i ask holding the microphone up as the crowd cheers

"thats what im talking about, now without a further ado here we fucking go people!"

the lights, the music, the crowd everything was perfect i was in my element

seeing the crowd of people singing along to my songs was a different type of euphoria it was truly a feeling id never get used to.

i watched a girl in the front row wipe tears away from her face during midnight it wasn't a sad song, but somehow it meant something different to her than it did to me. that was the thing i loved most about music, everyone can take their own meaning from it.

as the show came to an end i liked to perform a different vibe and do an acoustic cover to change the scene from my regular pop punk vibe.

i sit on my stool with my acoustic guitar and microphone stand

"are we ready to slow things down new york? this is vienna by billie joel"

"slow down your doing fine, you cant be everything you wanna be before your time"

"thank you for coming to my first ever tour, i hope to see all your beautiful faces at the next one thanks for my big welcome home show, great to be back in new york, goodnight!" i wave to the crowd and with that the final show had come to an end truly such a bittersweet moment.
