irrelevant but unrestricted internet access for little children should be banned, and if you have two children and ones in puberty like 12 and the other one's way younger then you should try separating them. The younger one will grow up way too fast coz of the 12 year old who's still a dumb child but knows way too much and is horni.

I knew what suicide, lgbt and gore – lgbt shouldn't be put in the same sentence as those two, but which 5 year old knows lgbtqia? – was at 5 years old because youtube didn't filter anything back then. Kids these days are watching brainrot youtube shorts, but i was watching my little pony gore (and was so thrilled/excited by it that i really wanted to be a surgeon and do it to real people ://)

(like my kid cousin said she wants to marry me and keeps talking about sex. she's watching explicit music videos and i know she feels some way towards them. i dont blame her coz she really is just a small child and she doesn't know, but imagine her telling this to her younger, 3 year old brother :/ who is so innocent that he watches kid cartoons and plays with toys. i've seen too many younger siblings grow up too fast because of this thing, it's a modern day 21st century problem and many millennial and gen x parents couldn't catch it. maybe gen z will do better.)

my sister was like "dyk what rcta is it's so weird." (or skibidi toilet or neopronouns) I, because i was done with the internet's bullshit, was like just ignore it. there are a small group of weird people that try to get attention and the internet gives them a space to do that. Its not a big deal. The things on the internet often don't transfer to real life, they stay on the internet. The overwhelming majority of people don't do or care about rcta. I've matured enough to know this.

3.

I loved wearing trending clothes or listening to popular music or new slang. All i wanted to do was fit in with the other kids and do everything that they did. (at your age you might think those things are ridiculous but kids don't see that. They see that the majority of their generation is doing it and they want to do it for the sake of fitting in.)I had a bad sense of humour – i laughed at things for no reason

4.

I thought my parents were the most mature and perfect and amazing people alive.

5.

I asserted myself but was dismissed by adults so often (even when i was right) because adults think they know better/feel patronised when they have to listen to a child

To adults: if you're arguing and you think a child should listen to you and agree because you're older, you're probably wrong. If you have to justify your argument with your age then you're probably wrong. Your old age doesn't make your opinion right. Kids have just as much intelligence as adults do. I'm the same person now as i was when i was eight. My personality hasn't changed but i've gotten more experience. Think of kids as noobs in the game of life, who need a bit of life experience to make decisions properly, but they're not dumb. They just don't know yet and its not their fault. Don't dismiss their ideas, they could be right. You have to look past age. When you talk to them you're talking to a person with a mind.

6.Children remember everything.

7. Tell them theyre beautiful, no matter what

8. Don't overfeed children as it leads to so many health problems and ofc lifelong self esteem issues. Children can't decide when to stop eating.

9. Play with kids. They can feel sad or lonely or bored when they don't have anyone to play with and it diminishes their creativity/imagination in general. Play with dolls or cars or a game of tag even if its childish. (some kids play with dolls even up to 12 yrs old. I did. Don't tell them its immature because they enjoy it and don't think its immature.)

10. 12-18 year olds should be treated like adults (or like children but given the freedom of adults) don't hide things from them, they're not kids and they know just as much as you do. Their maturity level's almost the same as yours and you can discuss adult topics with them.

11. Prioritise what kids want. For example, if i wanted something from my parents (e.g. the deodorant that they lost) they wouldn't help me find it because they were busy. Not sure why they were busy, but housework or watching TV or being lazy, whatever reason, they should help me find it. As a member of this household i found it very annoying that they help with something that I relied on them for. Like i couldn't find it myself i didn't know where it was or what happened to it.

This is a very bad example (ik i could just find it myself) but, like, if your kid needs you for something and you refuse to help them then its a dead end. They can't do anything further.Or explain why you can't help them.
