It all started on a pitch black, stormy Halloween night. I was hanging out with my boyfriend Robbie. I've known him for a couple months now, and we're super in love. I decided to stay the night at his house. We cuddled on his couch while we watched Scream, my favorite scary movie.

"This movie isn't even scary.." Robbie muttered to me, shoving candy corn in his mouth. I roll my eyes.

"That's because you're a fan of gore, you weirdo. I don't like that kind of stuff..." I tell him, and he hugs me close to him.

A couple hours have passed, and we started watching a different movie. Robbie picked it. The movie he picked was one I've never seen before. It almost seemed like it never actually existed. The acting is a bit off. Plus, I've never seen these actors in my life. I gasp as I see some guy get his head slowly cut off with a saw. I cover my eyes, and Robbie chuckles.

"Don't be scared, it's not like it's real." He told me. Of course, I know that.. but.. it looks so real. I've never seen blood look so realistic in horror movies. Usually it's too bright, or too dark. But this blood almost looked real. "But, I don't remember this part being in the movie.. weird." Robbie says. My heart races.

"What do you mean..?" I asked him, my voice shakey.

"Dunno.. I don't remember this happening.." He shrugged, eating more of his candy corn. I was about to get up and leave, scared, before he chuckles, telling me to sit back down. "Chill, I'm just messing. This scene is iconic. C'mon, watch it."

I hesitated, before sitting back down next to him. A few minutes go by, and Robbie and I are kissing now. I feel his hands on my back, lifting my shirt up and revealing my bra. I jump when I hear a noise from down the hallway. "Robbie..? What was that?" I whisper, turning my head to look over at the dark hallway.

"Shh, don't worry, babe.. it was probably just the wind." He started to kiss me again, but I pulled away.

"No, go look for me.." I told him, covering myself with the soft blankets. He sighed and got up.

"This is ridiculous.. You're always so paranoid." He grabs the remote and pauses the movie. He walks down the hallway, nonchalantly, before checking in his room.

Silence..

"Robbie? D-did you find anything--?"

Silence..

"Robbie..?"

"Robbie!?" I get up, shaking. I hesitantly walk down the hallway, making my way down to the room at the end of it. I look inside Robbie's bedroom, and my eyes widen in horror.

I run to the kitchen, dialing 9-1-1 on the phone.

-"your call has been sent to voicemail-"

What the hell!? Why isn't someone answering!?

I drop the phone as I hear another noise. This time, instead of a bang.. it's a voice. A chilling, distorted, ugly voice. It sounded weirdly like Robbie.

"Don't.. be.. scared.. Rachel..."

I turn around, and there's nothing there. I quickly grab my jacket and umbrella and run out of Robbie's house. I run down the block to my dad's house. I bang on his door, and he opens it, carrying a bowl of candy.

"And you must be--" He drifts off. "Rachel? What are you doing here? I thought you were at your mom's house--?"

I push my way past him into the house, closing the door and locking it. "D-dad, Robbie-- something happened to him." I tried to explain, tears running down my pale face. "He.. his body.. ripped apart.. his guts were.. all over the carpet.." I sob. "He's been murdered!" I yelled, covering my tear streaked face with my hands.

My dad's eyebrow raises. "What? You must be imagining things.. Robbie's in the kitchen right now, Rachel." He turns around to show me the view of Robbie in the kitchen, making cookies. "Are you feeling okay, Rachel..?"

I look at Robbie, my body shaking. "how....?" I whisper. Robbie looks at me, tilting his head to the side.

"You alright, babe..? I told you to meet me at your dad's place. I thought you were going to pass out candy with us!" He said, like he sounded disappointed.

I pull up the text I got from Robbie earlier.

"Meet me at my place."

I show the text to Robbie, and he takes my phone, looking at the number of the contact.

"Rachel.. whose number is this..?" He asked me.

"It's.. yours..? Right..?" I said, my voice trembling.

"No.. That's not my number.. Rachel.. who is this guy?"

"I-I don't know! I thought it was you!" I start sobbing even harder.

"Rachel.." My dad starts, putting his hand on my shoulder. "I think you need to go back to your mom's.. I think your imagining things.."

"W-what!? No-- I'm not!!"

"Please... I'll call your mom and tell her that you're coming over."

Before I know it, I'm walking to my mom's house... I can't believe it, I know what I saw. I'm not schizophrenic. I was at Robbie's house.. with Robbie.. and he was dead.. but then, my dad's house.. Robbie was there and alive.

Maybe my mind is just playing tricks with me. After all, it's Halloween. I'm always paranoid on Halloween. I always feel like something is off.

Suddenly, I feel someone grip my wrist from behind. I turn around, and I scream. It's Robbie. His guts are spilling out and he has a huge grin on his face.

"I told you not to be scared.." Said the chilling voice.

I wiggle out of his cold grasp and start sprinting away from him. After a few seconds of running, I look back to see if he was following me.

Nothing was there...

I take a moment to catch my breath before running the rest of the way to my mom's house.

I enter her house, locking the door behind me. When I turn around, I walk to the living room. Mom's not there.. maybe she's in the bathroom.

I look in the bathroom. She's not there.

I get a text from my dad.

Come back to my house right now. It's not safe at your mom's house.

What..? But he told me to come over here..? I turn around, about to head back out the door.

My head starts pounding, wildly. I hear the most gut wrenching, horrifying screams. I grasp my head in my hands. Who the hell is making that noise!? Or.. maybe.. what the hell is making that noise..

I see a shadow standing in the living room. It looked like Robbie. But, I didn't want to think that.. Robbie is at my dad's house.. but then he was on the sidewalk following me.. is it possible that he already made it here? No. No human can walk or run that fast.

When I look closely, my mouth falls open. My mom is on the floor at Robbie's feet. Dead.

"What the hell did you do to her!?" I yell in horror.

It takes a second before he answers in a low, chilling voice...

"Don't be scared..."

Before I could respond, I feel myself getting shaked out of sleep.

"Rachel? Rachel?" It's Robbie. I rub my eyes and look around. I'm back at Robbie's house. We're still watching scary movies, and he still has a bag of candy corn next to him. "You alright? You fell asleep, and you were screaming. Freaked me out a bit."

I sigh thankfully. So it was just a dream.. thank god.. "Y-yeah, I'm alright. It was just a nightmare. Just got a bit scared.."

Robbie smiles, before responding in a voice that made my stomach churn.

"Don't be scared, Rachel..."

The end.
